it is not meat
plenty of vegetarians don't have the problem.
in fact i don't know one who does.
you're half right. you are malnourished.
when i was anorexic i weighed 74 pounds and stood 5'5'; tall. i never lost my hair because of how i am wired. we are all different but i would suggest you take a protein and calcium supplement. first goes your hair, then your nails and teeth =/OMG I'm LOSING MY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
you need proteins...get it from beans and such....and drink one of those Green drinks (full of very good stuff) you can find it at WholeFoods
Whether you're a vegetarian or not, I would suggest taking SOME form of protein, since you're body DOES need it. But you should just eat more (a healthy level) to get your hair back. Remember, it's not just eating less, it's exercising (and you're body needs calories for energy while it's working out).
You start to lose your hair if you aren't getting enough protien. You need to talk to a Dr. about a proper diet plan. You need to figure out what, according to your weight/height/age, amount of calories, fat, carbs, protein, and etc that you need to consume to lose weight yet still be healthy. Most people need to get at least around 60 grams of protein. So start a food diary make an appointment with your DR and go from there. But you don't need the meat you just need to eat balanced.
