I have noticed in recent weeks that when I lather my hair in the shower, my hair seems to 'come out' with almost no effort. I do not attack my hair when I lather. I use a decent amount of product and only when it's absolutely necessary (i.e. work, going out). It's probably an inch to an inch and a half long (maybe) and I'm concerned what will happen if I get a good bit cut off (halloween idea). Any tips/tricks/advice?Am I losing my hair prematurely?
Wet hair is very weak. It's natural for some hair to come out in the shower. If it makes you feel better, try a hair strengthening shampoo, like Garnier Fructis.
If you're really pulling out large clumps, I would see a doctor.Am I losing my hair prematurely?
Do you take vitamins? You may need them. Are you under a lot of stress? It is natural for hair to fall out when under stress of when starting a new medication. It would be wise to see a doctor if this condition continues or concerns you to the point of worry. Best wishes.
