ok so i've never had this problem before and i am only 45 years old and have eaten healthy and exercised my entire life. my family does not have a history of cancer and i would be the first that i know of.
but for the past month i've noticed myself balding in the middle part of my head. i've also noticed more hair in the shower. how do i know for sure?Im losing my hair do i have cancer?
It's highly unlikely your hair loss is due to cancer. Men/women with cancer often loose their hair due to chemotherapy but not due to the cancer itself.
Odds are you are losing your hair due to hormonal changes given your age. You might also have your doctor check your thyroid. Thyroid disease/irregularities and other autoimmune diseases can also cause hair loss.Im losing my hair do i have cancer?
Hir loss is rarely a symptom of cancer.
Some cancer treatments can cause hair loss, but the illness itself only does in a relatively few number of cases.
Rather than starting with a diagnosis (cancer) and working back to a symptom (hair loss), see a Dr about the symptom and ask for a diagnosis - that is why they went to medical school.
