Why am i losing my hair at 17?

i'm 17 with a terribly receded hair line, and such thin hair that my scalp on top and vertex is visible even at night! Around the same time this all started red spots appeared on my quads and are still there. Could this be directly related? i'm far too young to be almost completely bald already right?Why am i losing my hair at 17?
I was worried about the same problem until i found out that loosing 100 strands a day is normal. Besides It may be stress or something. Or it may be some exam you are studiying hard fom. For me its my IGCSE.

Ask your father, it could all be genetics. My brother's friend is 16 and he's starting to bald a little bit. And one of my friends that's 13 had a receding hairline.
