ok, I've been working a lot lately and my job requires too much thinking (I am actually a programmer) I'm even losing weight although I eat a lot!! A friend of mine said it's due to over thinking and work stress.
And Now I also noticed that I'm losing hair, my hair is super fine now and I tried oiling it every week with a mix of natural oils. I don't use a hairdryer nor a straightener but I'm still losing so much of it and I don't know what to do. I believe the problem is my job nature. It's very stressing I guess but I can't really do anything about it.
So, can anyone suggest any solution for my problem?Help, I'm losing my hair due to too much work?
Well, I know what it's like to lose weight and fall ill due to overworking and stress from work. I can't help with your hair problem, but you may want to be checked by a doctor to make sure that these issues are definitely attributed to stress and nothing more. When I lost a ton of weight, even though I was eating almost double the calories a person my size needs in a day, the doctor ran blood tests and a few other tests and found that stress was causing my thyroid to function incorrectly. If I hadn't gone in, it could have been a lot worse. I had to learn how to adjust my eating habits and take medicine for a while.
Now, for your stress, which as you see can cause a ton of physical symptoms, all I can really suggest is to take time out for yourself. Even fifteen minutes of ';me time'; per day can work wonders. During that time, stay away from stimuli such as television and computers. You can turn on some music, as long as it's not anything that gets your adrenaline rushing. This is ';relax'; time. Do yoga, meditate, read, take a walk...anything that gets you away from your work for a while. Aromatherapy can be really good too. Lavendar or ylang ylang scents are really good for relaxation. Patchouli is also really good. These scents tell your brain that it is o.k. to slow down and stop stressing. You can get most of them in incense, oil (both oil burners and fragrance oil for you skin), or candles. I tend to use a combination of the three, especially if I'm using candles because the scent doesn't seem to go far.
Exercise like yoga, walking, light jogging, stretching, or light aerobics are great ways to get into or stay in shape and they are known for fighting depression and stress. Avoid caffeine and opt for herbal teas instead (but read package to make sure it says ';caffeine free'; because many herbal teas have caffeine). Camomile is an excellent tea for easing stress, as is Tension Tamer.
While it's impossible to end your stress (we all need to work to survive, basically), there are many ways to ease the stress a bit. If you can ease your stress, your weight will come back, you won't be as tired, and your hair might stop falling out. Do whatever you can to burn off the aggravation from a long and stressful day at work.
Hope this helps!Help, I'm losing my hair due to too much work?
I don't think that is from ';over working'; this sounds a tad more serious then just that! Many people have very stressful jobs and are plenty healthy with all their hair! I would go to a doctor if I were you and have blood work done! may you are having a hormone imbalance!
Sounds like you have alopecia which is hair loss due to stress. Go and see your doctor . The good news is that it usually grows back once you are more relaxed - if you catch it in time.
Maybe you should start talking some vitamins or don't try drinking too much coffee I'm assuming that you do because of your job. Too much caffeine isn't good for your hair---try tea (calms the nerves)
