I have baby fine, extremly thin hair. It seems to fall out everyday, can anyone recommend something to thicken my hair up or help grow back the hair that is damaged and fell out????Im losing my hair, how can I stop thinning hair lose?
There's a couple things you can do to help, but if its genetics then your doomed like me lol. Don't use products that have a lot of alcohol in them, use a wide tooth comb instead of brushes, pat your hair dry don't rub it. It also helps if you massage your scalp for a few mins everyday. (helps blood flow) Also something that helps is getting it permed, it will look a lot fuller and it tends to perk up those hair follicles and give it some pep.Im losing my hair, how can I stop thinning hair lose?
wildgrowth.com
It really works , I grew my hair 3 in a lless than a MONTH !!! and some parts of my hair haven't gown that long in my whole life ( I'm 12 years old .) The oil is completely natural. I have seen less hair in my comb after using it and my hair is no longer damaged. it's shinny and full of luster.

I'm 14 years old and losing my hair. Is there any vitamins I can take to stop this?
My hair comes out in the shower, on my back and arms, and all over my house. My mom suggests I take vitamins before seeing some sort of doctor, but we both don't know which ones to take that will stop this. Please help!I'm 14 years old and losing my hair. Is there any vitamins I can take to stop this?
Hair loss at your age is very uncommon and is usually a symptom of something else. One possible cause is anemia, which is a decrease in red blood cells or hemoglobin. An iron deficiency or vitamin B-12 deficiency can cause anemia. Also, people with hypo or hyper thyroid ism experience hair loss. This is when the body has an insufficent amount or an excessive amount of thyroid hormone produced. Do you have any other noticeable symptoms or health conditions?
You should see a doctor and take a blood test. Only then will you be able to know exactly what vitamin, mineral, hormone, etc. your body may be lacking in. I suggest you go as soon as you can since you don't want to lose all your hair!I'm 14 years old and losing my hair. Is there any vitamins I can take to stop this?
I remember going through the same thing at your age. However I also know then after I had each baby and went through the normal hair loss that goes with postpardum I was told my by stylist to use Nioxin.
http://www.nioxin.com/en/products/scalp-鈥?/a>
Use the cleanser just like regular shampoo and then use the scalp therapy as your condition. Leave it on while you shave or something like that and then rinse it out. I noticed a huge difference just after 2 showers.
Lots of hair places sell it and I think I have seen it at the JC Penney's hair salon as well. It is worth every penny.
If I were you,I'd make a Dr.appt. and have your thyroid checked out.they do this by a simple blood test in the Dr.'s office. One of the symptoms is thinning hair and hair loss.It is normal for us to lose about 100-150 hairs off our head a day,but since you seem to be losing hair all over I would at least have this test performed to eliminate the possibilty of having thyroid problems.I suggest that you go www.webmd.com and type thyroid problems in the search bar and see if you have any more symptons of this.I know because I have a hyper thyroid and am on daily medication for the rest of my life. They do make vitamins that are speciffically made to help with hair,it may be a good idea for you to also take a good muli vitamin, maybe something in your diet is lacking, hope this helps you out.
sounds like alopecia to me see your doctor but i don't think there is much he can do .stress can bring it on and i can disappear as quick as it arrives see your doc to be sure
I'd see a doctor ASAP. Vitamins won't help hair loss.

Seems like I am losing my hair and the only thing I can trace it to might be a curling iron I bought?
I bought this curling iron that you add water to and it does seem to get hot on the scalp.. but I have been using it for about three weeks and about a week or so ago I noticed a lot of hair loss..just thinner and shorter, much shorter hair.. no other problems and this is the only thing I have done different ..they said it was better for your hair but I wonder if it is hard on the scalp?? has anyone else had this problem?Seems like I am losing my hair and the only thing I can trace it to might be a curling iron I bought?
Once you start using irons of any sort you start a whole mess of problems. First be sure your using a protection spray.
I suggest Redken's spray starch. www.redkenonline.com has the best prices on the Internet.
Once you start frying your hair you should be aware that it won't ever look good till you do it again. Be sure you hairstylist has talked with you about the products and changes your going to go threw.
Sometimes you may need a better shampoo and cond. because your changing the hair texture and be sure to know the heat settings. Depending on the thickness of your hair it can only take so much.
And yes you can lose hair with heat styling products even a blow dryer not use correctly will damage or break your hair.Seems like I am losing my hair and the only thing I can trace it to might be a curling iron I bought?
Maybe, you can also starting loosing your hair if you don't have enough fat in your diet, really, eating only fat free stuff, or mostly, makes your hair fall out, it could be lots of diatary reasons, or stress too, but maybe quit using that curling iron and see what happens unless another reason fits.
I never even heard of that kind of curling iron so I don't even kbow waht to tell you. The product sounds cool.
could just be stress from the time of year
I would say you are right, It could bethe iron and the type of hair you have, if you are using this iron everyday it could cause damage also make sure your hair is clean. clear of mouse and hair spray. make sure you are using a good deep hair conditoner and if you continue to use this iron make sure the heat setting is not too high. Also if you are in cold weather you may not want to wash your hair so often the combination of washing too often and curling will defenatly cause hair breakage and thining. hope this helps.
I've never used this type of curling iron but if it is supposed to be better for your hair maybe you could try a different conditioner?
good luck
Its probably the curling iron. It is getting too hot and burning your hair out. Stop using it. If you have the receipt take it back and get your money back.

10 things you need to know about your hair:
1-your hair can be:( a small test to know ur hair type)
A-Greasy.
B-Dry.
c:Normal.
d:Mixed.
(click in each link to know more)
2-a blonde hair usually have from (130 000 to 110 000)
a black hair(120 000 to 100 000),a red hair from (90 000 to 80 000).
3-hair loss can be caused by many reason(click the link)
4-dandruff can be caused because of medical reasons or hair abuse(click the link)
5-brushes made from ivory or wood is the best and stay away from plastic ones.
6-hair care is differant according to ur hair type so if ur hair is greasy then u should use a products that is suitable for ur hair.

8-before dying ur hair u should make the allergy test,i repeat the allergy test is important.
9-since summer means sun beach etc,so in summer ur hair need a special care(click the link).
10-i wont recommanded any hair product for u
how to make ur hair grow faster/stop hair loss
first of all u should know that there is internal and external part.
internal part :ur hair to grow ,to be soft and smooth need essential vitamines like iron,calcium,b5,so u should take care of ur food and preserve a good diet and submit ur body with all the essential vitamines and minerals,u can not have a good hair and skin if u r starving ur self.
second:external care:u should follow the basic routine(massage ur scalp, use a good shampoo and conditioner, intensive mask every week etc)
3rd:if u have a tight budget u can use natural product(which i recommand cuz mask etc have chemicals which in the long run not good for ur hair).
4th:u should follow the basic hair care(email me if u do not know it)
you cant get it';back'; w/o growing it. But ppl lose up to 1000 hairs a day naturally. This increases or decreases by diet. Did you change your diet or do anything possibly unhealthy to your bod(ie drugs). hair is like skin, eveything is effected

I ve a serious dandruff problem for a long time now i ve started losing my hair , mine is serious prob so any ?
1 wit best solution tel me before i lose all my hairs , i am 25 yrs old man
6 days ago (Tiebreaker)I ve a serious dandruff problem for a long time now i ve started losing my hair , mine is serious prob so any ?
See a dermatologist, it may be something fungal, it may be male patterned baldness starting in. Use Nizoral shampoo, works best, also, can put vaseline on your scalp at night. I ve a serious dandruff problem for a long time now i ve started losing my hair , mine is serious prob so any ?
You get over the counter medicated shampoos like Nizarol or Selsun. These may help control temporarily to some extent. Its best you visit a dermatologist and get (oral)medication to work along with these shampoos to bring dandruff under control.
Do not go in for quick fix places like skin clinics and beauty clinics they fleece you and eventually say that there is no real cure for dandruff. You dont need that kind of wisdom after spending thousands of rupees.Go to a good doctor.
A teaspoon of fresh lime juice for the last rinse, while washing the hair, is an useful remedy. This not only leaves the hair glowing but also removes stickiness and prevents dandruff. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/pout

Losing my hair more than usual at the age of 16 Part II?
I usually brush my hair when i get out of the shower and then blow dry it. But then some people tell me i shouldn't brush my hair when it's wet...My mom tells me that if i don't blow dry it i'll catch a cold...what should i do?Losing my hair more than usual at the age of 16 Part II?
You should use a wide tooth comb on your hair when it's wet, not a brush. Brushing it causes the hair to snap and break off therefore leading to loss of hair. Try spraying a de tangling product on your hair after towel drying it but before combing it. The 'catch a cold with wet hair' thing is an old wives tale. There is no scientific proof. The best way to go about it is leave your hair to dry naturally for 20 mins while you get dressed, brush your teeth, do your make up etc and then blow dry the last part.Losing my hair more than usual at the age of 16 Part II?
I recommend seeing a physician, who might refer you to a dermatologist. Perhaps its being caused by a thyroid problem or autoimmune issue?
A similar thing happened to my sis when she was 16. She'd broken up with her BF three months before........which is interesting because I've read that three months after a stressful even is when hair can start doing that. Did something stressful happen in Sept?
P.S.--My sis' hair is OK now.....
my hair breaks off all the time.
1. maybe you should jus stop getting it wet all the time when you get in the shower.like that makes no sense. but put a cap over your hair to keep it dry so everyday you dont have to blow dry it all the time. when you hair is wet it can break off more
Never Ever brush your hair when they are wet. that could be the only reason why u are losing your hair. try not to do that. Also, blow dry the hair only when they are half dried up naturally. i am sure you cannot catch cold so easily. so just give it some time, try to ease them with your fingers if required, but never use the comb.

I am losing my hair. I am a healthy person but the water I use to wash my hair is bit salty.?
Can I have some genuine tips to restore the hair loss.I am losing my hair. I am a healthy person but the water I use to wash my hair is bit salty.?
I can tell that products like Hair Genesis work, and you also get a chance to test it. It works like a supplement working from inside with vitamins and herbs etc.
You also need direct treatment of the scalp from the outside. I have found a great trick, combine more than one hair loss treatment product and you get the best result.
I even had hair loss for a stress, and use the Hair Genesis (I bought from this store %26gt; http://bit.ly/1FdwM9, with $20 off, every time!), and my hair returned to normal shortly.I am losing my hair. I am a healthy person but the water I use to wash my hair is bit salty.?
keshyoge 1 best way to get ur hair back with black colour
go to Ayurvedic farmacy
its a medical problem or heredity problem u have salt water has nothing to do with hair loss..u have to see a tricoloigst .. dont u get normal water y's it salty
Have you ever considered purchasing a full laced wig. I don't mean the fake looking wigs in novelty shops. I am referring to a nice full front lace wig. These wigs are the new craze in hollywood. They look very real on your head. The cap is the same colour as your scalp. So if you part the wig hair it will look like your scalp underneath. The hair is 100% Human Remy Hair. Most wigs last anywhere between a year to two years depending on how well you take care of them. The best place to purchase a wig is www.reidshair.com. They have Grade A Hair at fair prices compared to other companies. Hope this helps.

I am losing my hair because i have been wearing a hat for years as a line cook. Do you have any natural remedy
I am looking for some kind of a natural remedy, 'cause I think the problem might be some kind of scalp irritation.I am losing my hair because i have been wearing a hat for years as a line cook. Do you have any natural remedy
Balding isn't because of a hat, it's genetic. It just so happens that People who go bald normally have receeding hairlines early in life or like you said scalp irritations or even abnormal directional growth, more inclining them to wear a hat, years before going bald. Despit all the media, the only natural remedy is something you'll have to get from your local Chinese Traditional.I am losing my hair because i have been wearing a hat for years as a line cook. Do you have any natural remedy
Baldness formula (hair loss and regrowth)
8 oz. avocado oil
30 gram rosemary
5 drops peppermint oil
mix these three ingredients
you can either place them in a glass container (heat resistant) and place in an oven for 20 minutes at 300 deg F OR place in a dark colored glass bottle and store a dark place for 6 weeks
once you have completed the above step, strain the oil to remove the rosemary
(use chese cloth or similar cloth and squeeze the extra oil out)
once you have strained the oil you can massage one teaspoonful into your sclap three times a day
store the unused portion in a dark colored bottle in a cool dark place (not cold), you can store it for up to 3 months

Am I losing my hair or is this natural?
I never really had long hair before so I never noticed my hair naturally falling out. My hair is very thick I am noticing that my hair is naturally falling out on its own. Moving my hand around my hair sometimes I see like one strand of hair in my hand or worse like 3.
Am I losing my hair or is it perfectly normal.Am I losing my hair or is this natural?
It's normal.
The average person is supposed to lose
about 80 hairs a day. You probably just
don't notice the other hairs that
fall out. But its normal :DAm I losing my hair or is this natural?
Ehhh, im pretty sure its normal, but it shoudn't happen EVERY time you run your hand through your hair, you should really talk to your parent/guardian. Maybe your hair is damaged, like if you have any chemicals in it, or have you ever dyed it with like bleach, then that could cause it to come out, especially if u did it more than once,
well have you been using any
hot tools? do you use heat protectant
when using hot tools?
well if you do use hot tools like straighteners,
and not use a heat protectant that may be why.
your hair got damaged from the heat.
or maybe your hair is just damaged in general.
:) try using a deep conditioner, they help hair
become healthy again.
its probally just normal shedding

Do gys have any suggestions like what should I eat , what shampoo should I use or what should I do ?.............Thank UWhat can I do to stop losing my hair ?
If you are losing so much hair so fast you need to see a doctor. If it just seems that way and you are having issues..... your hair does not define who you are. So yo are bald or have short hair? Big deal. Better than comb over dudes or guys who have a little fuzz on top trying to maintain their hair. Trust me women will appreciate clean cut no matter what and it is so much more masculine than holding on to nothing. Plus it is so much easier in the morning! What can I do to stop losing my hair ?
Well first of all, weather plays a major role in your hair. The climate change affects hair just like it affects your skin. If it's cold outside, then your body gets dry and chaps, likewise with hair. What you can do is seek a well known stylist in your area and ask for their advice. But if you're going outside it would be best to always wear something on your head to protect it from the cold air and always keep it moisturized. Never allow your hair to be dry cause your hair needs moisture in order to be healthy.
you can start by using a good conditioner, oil your hair, you can do this at home or go to the hair dresser for an oil treatment.
Eat 7 almonds everyday chew them well.
use olive oil for cooking your food and to apply to your hair too,you can mix it with coconut oil.
First of all contact your doctor and ask him for some suggestion. But in my salon I sell alot of Nioxin. Great product.
Put limon in your hair
eat healthy protein diet, use a vaitelizing shampoo and use curd wid a tea spoon of lime juice apply it to ur hairs .leav it for atleast for 15 mins and then rinse
get enough oils(pb,fish, hemp oil) in your diet. evaluate any meds/supplements you are taking. worry less, stress causes hair loss.
Try taking a Muti-Vitamin. Especially a B-COMPLEX vitamin. That will help with hair loss.
Try the Nioxin system, it is the best stuff. You could also try rogaine but the Nioxin system is natural and really makes a big diff. for me.
Change ur shampoos.... ur suppose to keep changing ur shampoos like every three months.... my hair used to be the same way... but u r suppose to lose 170 hairs a day or somewhere around that number.
You need to go to the doctor and find out why you are losing so much hair. I had the same problem. I got tested it was my thyroid, I now take medicine for it and my hair grows like crazy. Good luck.
What my husband did but it didn`t work very well but it worked is he put lemon on it for three days and he got some hair. Sorry if that didn`t help. And I heard that Johnson and Johnson lotion works to but I have not tried it. Well he rinsed it off every day for three days.

Should I be worried about losing my hair's colour?
I dyed my hair about a week ago, bright red with white streaks, and every time I wash my hair the red is dripping, and I don't know if it'll wash out the colour completely soon.
Sorry, I don't know how to explain the situation well, lol.Should I be worried about losing my hair's colour?
Red fades the quickest out of any colour. Make sure you use a shampoo for colour treated hair. I saw a test on TV and L'Oreal Colour Vive was rated the same as Aveva. Because of the cost different the L'Oreal product won the test.
Don't wash your hair as often either. Keep it down to 2-3 times a week.Should I be worried about losing my hair's colour?
Nicole red is the fastest shade of dye that will fade out of all of the hair dyes.Tomb Raider.pout

I'm Only 16 years old and I seem to be losing my hair on the back of my head near the swirl thing? Why is this
I tend to have a lot of dandruff , i use gel regularly. Balding only appears on back of head near crown area near swirl thing. My head itches a lot so I scratch in the area. Im only 16 and shouldn't have to worry about this. Why does it look like I have and what can i do?I'm Only 16 years old and I seem to be losing my hair on the back of my head near the swirl thing? Why is this
I knew a guy that started balding by sophomore year of highschool. Sometimes people just go bald early. If balding runs in the family on your mother's side, it's most likely just genetics. If not, try going to a dermatologist to see if you might have some type of dermatitis that's causing hair loss. Good luck :)I'm Only 16 years old and I seem to be losing my hair on the back of my head near the swirl thing? Why is this
Don't masterbate too much. It depletes what the chinese doctors call ';chi';. The chi meridian that balances the sexual organs also balances the kidneys and hair on the head. Typically signs of excessive masterbation is premature grey hair.
American doctors are simply clueless about balding and premature grey hair.
dandruff is dry skin and the gel is helping to create it...so get rid of the gel...and the scratching is not helping either...
find a really good salon in your area that does message and has excellent hair products such as Aveda...they will analyze your skin and hair and give you the best products for you as an individual...
Are you should thats dandruff and not gel flaking off? Anyway use some head and shoulders man, see if it helps

I think I am losing my hair due to stress, what can I do to stop it?
I come from a family with thick hair, I have always had thick hair. I am a female 30 years old. Is there a good shampoo to use, I've been using Aveda rosemary mint. Help.I think I am losing my hair due to stress, what can I do to stop it?
I use ProSante hair products and they really work well. I hadn't said anything to my hairdresser but she noticed the difference in my hair so I told her about ProSante. It doesn't happen overnight though. They have the shampoo, conditioner, finishing spray and scalp treatment. The results of independent clinical studies showed that in 30 days there was an 11% reduction of hair loss during combing, 37% decrease in the number of broken hairs and 46% of subjects that noted an increase in the thickness of their hair.
Also, I suggest lots of all natural B-Complex to help with your stress.
Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.

I am losing my hair more than normal, what should I do?
I have naturally curly hair and I highlighted it recently. After I wash my hair I just put on a little mouse because my hair is so frizzy. Any ideas?I am losing my hair more than normal, what should I do?
I have curly hair too. Since I don't ever brush it, I lose a lot of hair in the shower. It's normal.I am losing my hair more than normal, what should I do?
are you losing or gaining weight quickly? are you eat nutricously? there are so many veriables that can effect your hair loss. you should start taking fish oil vitamins every day- this will help with the hair loss. the only other thing i could suggest is calling your doctor just to make sure all your levels are normal.

I am losing my hair terribly. What could cause hair loss in a healthy person?
I lose about 100 hairs a day. The hair comes out easily. Could stress cause something like that. I don鈥檛 blow dry, dye or anything. Btw I am only 21 years oldI am losing my hair terribly. What could cause hair loss in a healthy person?
It may sound like a lot, but 100 strands is just a little bit above normal. But there are a lot of things that can cause hair loss. Of course, stress is a big one, but also certain medications like birth control (when starting and also when you stop taking them), and even too much ibuprofen can do it. Dental problems like infections, a poor diet and a lack of certain vitamins can cause loss, too. This loss could be just a temporary thing, tho. Hair goes thru growth cycles, but if you're really worried, go see a dermatologist.I am losing my hair terribly. What could cause hair loss in a healthy person?
Is this a new development? I lose A LOT of hair every day but on average people lose 75-100 hairs a day so I am pretty sure that there is nothing to worry about. I still have a full head of extremely thick hair. (It may seem more noticeable given the darkness and thickness of your hair) If you want to it may not be bad to go to your doctor and ask about it but I think you are fine.
I have heard of hormone levels causing it. I added a link for you. That one person is an idiot for saying cancer, what an unfunny joke.
it happended to one of my close friend. He drop weight and loss hair. after medical check up and found that he got cancer.

Why am I losing my hair so fast?
I'm 22 years old. Up until last May, I had a perfectly straight hairline. I always had my hair pretty short. Then, while I was in Afghanistan, I got shot in the leg. Ever since then my hair has been falling out at a very fast rate. If I brush my hair, the whole sink is full of hairs. This time next year, if this keeps up, I will have almost nothing left. My dad is 60 and he has all his hair. My brother is almost 40 and yes, he's lost some hair, but it's just a little worse then mine. Losing my hair this young and this fast is much more traumatizing than getting shot. I wouldn't mind losing it if I knew it was male pattern baldness. I just don't think it's supposed to happen this fast. Does anyone know if this is related to my gunshot wound? Thanks. Why am I losing my hair so fast?
I would not say that it is related to your gun shot wound, but a lot of times when you are on certain medications for a prolonged period of time can cause hair loss. Also, wearing hats, baseball caps- whatever can cause hair loss.
If it continues to get worse, I would consult a physician.
Good Luck. Why am I losing my hair so fast?
perhaps your injury caused an extreme loss of blood leading to low Iron levels, which can have a great impact on the way your hair follicles function . Nonetheless, you should attain a thorough blood test to check for any abnormalities.
The problem comes from your mothers side of the family too, keep that in mind.
I think it could be alipicia. (spelling?)pout

Hereditary hair loss is common, what should I do about losing my hair? I'm only 15?
I am only 15, I am suffering from thinning hair. You could see my scalp, and I don't know if I should go to a dermatologists or wait until my hair is completely gone and then do something about it. My dad has no hair (balding) and I dont want to end up like that. What should I do?Hereditary hair loss is common, what should I do about losing my hair? I'm only 15?
You're very young to be experiencing male pattern baldness. Maybe it has to do with your changing hormonal levels. See a doctor to be sure. There are ways to control hormonal imbalances but no proven methods to stop or prevent MPB.Hereditary hair loss is common, what should I do about losing my hair? I'm only 15?
Taking some foods and vitamins can help you prevent hair loss.
Protein rich foods to prevent hair loss
Protein-rich foods can aid in maintaining a healthy body. They are also known to strengthen hair and nails. Eating foods that contain healthy proteins such as lean meat, poultry and fish can prevent hair loss. Vegetarians could also have a protein-rich diet by considering eggs beans and nuts.
Although the food that you eat can not assure you of a permanent treatment for your hair loss problem, these foods could at least help slow down the process of hair loss.
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems.Perming, straightening, hair dyeing and bleaching ,hot combing, using heated rollers and hot wax inevitably damage the hair.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
i would definetly tell your parents. you might have a thyroid problem that can cause your hair to fall out.

How can I tell if I am losing my hair?
I'm 22 and have had long thick hair for a while.. I have a few grays but now every time I wash my hair I have alot on the shower floor.. I can run my hands through it and have 1 to 2 strands each time.. At my hair line my hair is considerably shorter.. I can't tell if I'm just now noticing this or if it's receding..
What should I do? Is the hair gene on the mothers side, if so I should be safe..How can I tell if I am losing my hair?
It's a myth that your hair gene comes from your mothers side. it can come from either side.
It is perfectly normal to lose a few hairs every day... it doesn't mean that you are going bald. Every man, woman and child lose hair.
Just watch the hair line and see what is happening over time.... if there is a freckle or mole near your hair line see if your hair is receeding from it over time.
If you are receeding there's really nothing you can do... accept it as part of being a guy.

Why do i keep losing my hair?
I'm 18 years old and i decided to let my hair grow out long so i can donate it to locks for love. I know i'm still in puberty because everyday (as of recently) the hair on my leg has been getting sparser, and i don't even have facial hair except the fine fair on my chin. My hair has been coming out like crazy now, i usually maintain it at 2 inches max with a 1 one the sides like a buzz cuts cept longer hair on top, but now my hair is at about 5 or 6 inches now. In my tub hair is starting to clog the drain. My hair is still thick i think; my dad still has his hair at 50. My mom's brotehrs and father still have their hair. (FYI- it is a myth that you inherit your mom's hair gene). Is the reason for my recent hair falling out because it is getting longer? Why do i keep losing my hair?
maybe your not getting the right vitamins in your diet, try some one a day vitamins, see if that helps. If really concerned go see your doctor, could be some other underlying problem. Why do i keep losing my hair?
I think your hair is falling at the same rate it was falling when it was short, it's only that because it's longer YOU NOTICE IT and also it gets clogged in the drains easily!
sometimes it falls out due to natural regeneration, and sometimes it falls out and never grows back. I personally know that short hair falls out less because it's less strain on the folicals.
It might be the split ends breaking off. It could be allopetia but probably not. Go to a hair sylist and have a trim.

How can I tell If I'm losing my hair?
I'm a 20 Year Old guy and the top edges of my widow's peak are very thin and hair breaks off at random times. I always get some hair in hands after shampooing. I don't know if it's stress or what but just a year ago I didn't have this problem. Any answers or speculations would help. How can I tell If I'm losing my hair?
yes it is natural to loose a certain amount of hairs per day. if u think ur hair is falling a lot then go to a doctor n c what the doctor says. it might be due to stress but iits hard to figure out. u know it better whether ur stressed or no. may b its heridetary?! then in that case u should c a doctor n might give u something to put on ur hair which will keep ur hair from falling not growing new hair. my dad had that problem due to heridetary n thats wat he did. n if u think its coz of stress, then simple, just try not to be stressed. n do stuff that will help u not get stressed n b calm.....How can I tell If I'm losing my hair?
comb it with a fine tooth comb and if there is a bunch of hair it you might have hairloss but it is still natural to loos hundreds of hairs a day!
Does hair loss run in your family, especially in men? You should look into that. Also, go to a doctor and see what they say.
My brother had hair loss and used rogaine and such. He eventually got a hair transplant, but you dont seem to be having severe hairloss. Just talk to your doctor so that it can ease your mind....and yeah, stop stressing, that doesnt help. BTW, dont wear hats too often.....your hair needs some oxygen too you know.

coconut oil on a daily basis. do not use straigteners. only wash your hair 3 times a wekk unless you have a dunruff problem. rub the oil into scalp properly. then apply to the rest of your hair. keep it on until the next time you wash your hair. Let your hair dry naturally. Don't use a blow drier. When your hair has dried, use a very small amount of oil in your scalp. use more about 3 or 4 hours before you wash your hair. don't go to a salon.

My dad had been suffering from hair loss and only recently he started to see a huge difference with his hair (lots of fine hair growing out especially at the temple area) after trying out the various natural techniques taught to grow hair for 1 week at this website http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I know a few people who use eggwhites, or mayonaise. Put it in like a conditioner, and leave it in for about 30 minutes... then rinse it out.
if ur hair is really as bad as ur making it seem, u should just cut all the damaged parts off and start anew...only this time make sure u use products that dont damage ur hair too much, and u should be fine

coconut oil on a daily basis. do not use straigteners. only wash your hair 3 times a wekk unless you have a dunruff problem. rub the oil into scalp properly. then apply to the rest of your hair. keep it on until the next time you wash your hair.

I am in the middle of losing my hair due to chemo. Did all or most of my confidence come from my looks?
I'm a very confident person, very happy with myself inside %26amp; out but I'm worried that a lot of my confidence has come from my looks. I realize the loss of my hair in the process of fighting cancer is a small thing in the big scope of the pic but I'm hoping that before I didn't put too much emphasis on my looks. I had long, thick blonde hair that I always got compliments on so I guess that was part of my identity but is that silly?I am in the middle of losing my hair due to chemo. Did all or most of my confidence come from my looks?
Dude. You said it best in your text. The big picture. If you're on the mend, count your lucky stars and don't be so superficial about hair. YOU'RE ALIVE.
Priorities man, priorities.I am in the middle of losing my hair due to chemo. Did all or most of my confidence come from my looks?
Everyone has certain confidence in how they look, nothing wrong with that as long as all your confidence isn't strictly based on your outside. Confidence has to be internal, mentally to know that no matter what, you are beautiful.
Society puts alot of emphasis on what beauty is, that makes times like this difficult to cope with. Just remember beauty comes from within and shows through on the outside. Your hair will grow back, in the meantime find ways to have fun with it. You can try different wigs, you can be a brunette or red head, try silly hats, just don't worry about it you're just fine. Best luck and get well quickly.
I am the same way, that is where the majority of my confidence comes from. I'm sorry to hear that about you! I really don't see what the big deal is with loving the way you look, and don't let ppl make you feel guilty about it, the only one's who do that are the one's who are jealous of you. I just posted this for someone else but Sephora.com carries an oral dietary supplement by Phytophanere that encourages hair growth and thickness...and I do mean THICK!! Be warned..:)
I am a male and when I lost my hair during chemo it bothered me to some extent. It made me really feel for the women who lose their hair during treatment. Get you a wig wear a hat. Don't worry about the hair it will grow back. Just concentrate on getting well which you will. The hair will grow back and you will be just as pretty as ever. Besides you know what they say bald is beautiful. Hang in there !
No, NO , NO!!!!! Don't bring your confidence down!!!!! You have to think that you are a smart, beautiful woman and you shouldn't care if guys think that you are ugly cuz you don't have ur nice hair, i bet ur very beautiful!!
Cancer is just someone in you that thinks he is stronger and your body wants to fight him and prove him wrong, DON'T LET HIM WIN!
Silly? Absolutely not. What you are feeling is 100% normal. Yes most of us get a lot of our esteem from our hair/looks. Believe it or not men are worse. One of my very dear friends just had chemo/radiation/pills for mulitple invasive tumors. Had some lovely wigs made but refuses to wear them. Was sure this would not affect her. But it has. In a big way. You can listen to all the psycho babble you want on beauty is only skin deep and comes from within but when you look in the mirror.......we all want to look good...anyone who says it doesn't matter is a liar. they do say your hair grows back fuller and nicer and i hope this will be the case for you. in the meantime...see if the hospital treating you offers any support groups....i'll bet you find stories similar to yours.....honestly the only people who can understand what you are going through are those in the same situation. all the best to you and god bless.
Your confidence is in your mind, not in your hair. I'm sure you will receive lots of compliments about your personality and your courage
That isn't silly at all! Our society puts so much emphasis on looks that you can't help but wonder these things.
In all reality your confidence shouldn't come from your looks, but I know (from personal experience) that it does.It changes the way you feel about yourself and how you ';think'; others feel about you.
They have some amazingly beautiful wigs now (not like the unrealistic ones from years ago) Do you think that a wig would help to counter the confidence issue?
Some people are perfectly content and confident no matter what their appearance (wish i was one!) but others need a little assistance. There is nothing wrong with that at all- and no, you are not being vain! so don't even think that!
You also need to keep in mind that a big part of healing is your attitude! Anything that makes you feel better or more confident will also help you to heal.
Well- I guess what I am saying is your confidence does come from within- to a certain degree- and it is different for everyone. But there is no reason why, if you feel it is necessary, that you can't give yourself a little boost with a beautiful blonde wig that looks so much like your real hair -only you will know the difference!
Stay positive and be good to yourself!
All you need now is to concentrate all your energies in fighting and surviving. You have the power to do that, a sympathy from your friend can help, but if you put into your mind that being alive is much important than your look, and if you conserve your self confidence (which you need it now more than ever), and if you look at your insight and say :'; I am beautiful, I love myself'; , then as a miracle all people around you will see your true beauty, which is inside you. And this will also help you fight and win the illness.
Remember my dear, your soul is the master, your body follows her and not the contrary.
Any girl loosing their long thick blonde hair would be depressed and maybe even a little angry. You are fighting for your life and chemo sucks everything is going to bother you more than it would have without the stress of a life threatening disease and the added stress of chemo. Many chemo drugs cause depression. You should continue to be grateful for the treatment but it is perfectly ok to be angry about the side effects. Don't be so hard on yourself and see if maybe your doctor could prescribe an antidepressant until your chemo is over. When I had chemo they warned me that a side effect was suicide from the depression the drug caused.
Take care of yourself and don't be so hard on yourself about being sad about your hair.
People might think it silly and that your hair will grow back soon but I lost my hair for other reasons and it did not come back. It is just amazing just how much your hair plays in your personality and self confidence. I wish you well. For myself, It took years to adjust. Females can wear a wig but I was in the military at the time and that was long before the ';bald is beautiful'; thing.
I work with cancer patients and see lots of women who have lost their hair. I am always amazed by how good they look, their features seem to stand out, especially the eyes. I wouldn't mind betting that people with start to tell you, what beautiful eyes you have.
I understand how you feel about your hair, the majority of us would feel devastated to lose it.
I am sure you will find a new confidence within yourself, and that will stand out and make you even more beautiful. The mixture of vulnerability and strength is very endearing.
I sincerely wish you all the best.
No honey, that's not silly at all. But remember, your confidence comes from your ability to fight and survive!!!
I lost my hair to chemo also, and feel that I am a confident person. When I was younger my hair was long, thick and wavy but after having a couple of kids it got a lot thiner so it hasn't been my pride and joy for quite some time.
Just continue to smile through all this it will help givethe impression of confidence, even if you don't feel it. My sister gave me a t-shirt that said ';With a Body Like This, Who Needs Hair?'; Maybe that can be your mantra.
not at all hon, maybe one of the most traumatic things about the treatment, good luick with the treatment hon, I've been in remission for 13 years now and grew my long flowing hair back,
Good luck hon, I know what you are going through
xxx
You've just got to become the iron maiden. Most people understand about it now and will only cheer you on. One thing to remember, it always comes back and sometimes better than before.
its not that your confidence was from your looks, but yes, your hair was a part of you, and one you liked, any big physical change like that, it going to cause you to feel odd, out of sync with yourself... yes on the one hand, its a small thing, but yet again, its a major change for you, at a time when you have so much going on,,, so allow yourself to feel upset about it, dont have negative feelings about your views on it, or even question why this is important to you and know that it will grow back and you will miss it until it does,,, and best of luck to you , hun !
Silly, no...First off society puts all the emphasis on looks and who makes that ';society group up'; a bunch of people who are superficial. Some one I knew fairly well lost all her hair to chemo as well. Yeah, she worried and just as it started to come back in, she was a little less worried about her looks and came to visit us at work. She got so many compliments on her wonderful beautiful new hair style. Most didn't know she underwent treatment. Her come back to all the ';God, your hair looks GREAT';, ';Thanks, my dr. gave me my new look with my chemo treatments';.
She found humor in everything and it got her through her awkward stage.
God Bless you and may your health return before your hair even does, and both will you know.
I don't know but I want to tell you ';Good Blessing'; I have a friend that has leukemia right now and she and her husband has blessed us all with her fight, hope, and determination. Take care!!!
It's not silly at all. You may be able to get a wig similar to your natural hair. Your health insurance may even cover part of that cost. [mine did] Plus there are a lot of nice hats and scarves out there. You are brave. You look like you're in a battle, and you're going to win!
Try this site for lots of nice hats etc:

Your question gave me pause. My mother always called her hair her ';crowning glory,'; and was upset at the thought of losing it when she had chemo, as well. Put on one of those pretty hats that will frame your pretty face instead! Now others will notice your other pretty features. God Bless.pout

How do I stop worrying about losing my hair?
Please Help! How do I stop worrying about losing my hair?
Shave your head.
Better to get it over with, right? How do I stop worrying about losing my hair?
Buy a wig from a store, or start taking better care of it now so it wont go a way later.
What are you worrying about something you have no control over. Why not worry about how you are going to live being bald , I mean with the way woman throw themselves at bald headed men,you will get no rest.
well, just don't freak out first. second just think of some ways to get it back, like those adds on tv about those medicins or maybe if you are willing those surgeries too. but if you are comfortable after awhile with losing it then i would try to go on normally and think of it as another part of life
Shave it all off be in style.
It is a conscious decision.
Just stop.
Shave it! My honey is bald and I love it.
stop worrying!~
It won't help!
unless you have done a lot of bleaching over the years or dye jobs
most baldness is inherited
usually from your grand [parents on your mother's side
if not real bad there are all sorts of help over the counter now
check with your doctor first if, especially any heart problems
then there are cover up sprays for small spots
some attach a fiber, no glue, but a spray fiber that looks like hair your color
if like me
too much gone, too much white,
but a dye job ever couple of weeks too of 10 yea5s for the hair %26amp; actually looks like more hair
for what little there is right on top actually shows up
then a dye job for the mustache took off another 10
Consult a dermatologist or shave.
Think about something else.
Sit in a bathtub of ice cubes or something. I am pretty sure you will forget about your hair.
Realize that it is only hair, not a lung, or an arm, or your voice, or your leg, or your sight! It's only freaking hair! That's your big worry....Count your blessings since there are many who would love to trade spots with you!
Calm down. Just buy a wig.
how ironic....why do you worry about losing your hair if worrying causes it to fall out in the first place?
Hair Club for Men, Rogain or shave it.........
Shave it off. Many people think a bald head looks cool. A toupee or a wig on the other hand, if people realize it, does not look cool. If you think a lack of hair will effect your social status, go to some sort of hair club for men. They have many temporary solutions like hair plugs, weaves and even gluing hair on to your scalp. A guy can get away with a bald head easier than a girl. Wear it bald and wear it proud.
im 22 and im losing mine its part of life. life is to short be stressing over somethings. it could be alot worse.
shaveeeee I guess
Lol...No body else got ya joke..But I did...lol

Drank some bad tomato juice and became quite ill. Now losing my hair - is there a connection ?
Nearly a year ago I drank some very bad tasting tomato juice on holiday - did not drink it all but a couple of hours later became very ill, vomiting, stomach cramps and shivering badly. Felt poorly for a couple of days. About 2/3 months later started noticing hair shedding. Could there be a connection to this food poisoning ? Would like to hear from anyone who may know.Drank some bad tomato juice and became quite ill. Now losing my hair - is there a connection ?
I really don't think it's from the tomato juice, but you should talk to you doctor. My aunt got Alopecia at just 19 and lost most of her hair. The doctor was able to cure her and today she is fine, but you need to go to a doctor. Many things can cause hair loss including stress.
Good luck!Drank some bad tomato juice and became quite ill. Now losing my hair - is there a connection ?
Most food poisoning takes 12-24 hours to start showing symptoms, unless it was infected with the staph virus. It would be unlikely that you got staph from tomato juice, but not impossible.
My guess is that the tomato juice was just what you thought made you sick, but not the actual source. As a chef, I have had patrons return very shortly after a meal to say that the food had made them ill. With a little digging, both my establishment and the place they had been earlier would always get a prompt and thorough inspection, and my place was ALWAYS clean. (Consistently scoring 97-98%)
As for hair loss, I doubt that relationship completely. Are you stressed out? On medication? Those things will do it.
dont listen to the dumb chick who said her aunt got cured from alopecia. there is no cure for alopecia, i should know im a hairstylist and i had to take medical classes about skin, scalp, and hair diseases.
your hair loss isnt related to the tomato juice, its too long after the fact. it could be that you are stressed out. if you dyed your hair recently that could be it to. if it isnt either of those or if you are losing a lot of hair and are seeing bald spots go to your doctor.
It's a good thing that you came to a bunch of strangers on a message board, as opposed to a qualified physician; physician don't know jack!

A lot of times hair falls out because it's loo long and simply breaks off. Maybe if you blow dry it and or straighten it everyday, it's breaking off at an increased rate. I usually wash my hair every other day because it allows natural oils from the scalp to moisturize your hair and make it healthy.
I honestly think you might want to cut/trim your hair.
Good luck.

Hey guys or gals Im losing my hair from the back and the front is looking pretty thin. Does biotin vitamins work and what shampoo should I use Nexuss thickening shampoo or Amplify what works best?Hey guys or gals Im losing my hair from the back and the front is looking pretty thin.?
Take oil bath twice a week. use herbal shampoos. Reduce stress. Sleep at regular time.
Thats all. I too doing these steps. now no problem in my hair.Hey guys or gals Im losing my hair from the back and the front is looking pretty thin.?
I'm a licenced hairstylist and I'll tell you a little secret. Those shampoos you mentioned don't work. They don't really thicken your hair at all. What it does do, is put a coating of wax like material on your hair cuticle, which makes your hair appear thicker. Some like it, but personally why? I recommend let nature take its course and get a close to the scalp haircut, or a more expensive route hair transplants.

I am a 41 year old woman and am losing my hair and dont know why?
I have been losing hair for awhile now but in the last few months it has been getting worse and dont understand why. I have had test done and there is nothing wrong with my hormones or thyroid. Can any one suggest what is the cause.I am a 41 year old woman and am losing my hair and dont know why?
It could be simply receding. Don't worry too much, unless it is coming out in large amounts. It will probably eventually stop.I am a 41 year old woman and am losing my hair and dont know why?
Hi, I completely understand and I am so there with you...except I am only 20 and I am going Britney! I do have a problem with my thyroid though so it's related to that. Have you done test that check whether you need vitamins, minerals, calcium etc? You may need some supplements there are some that you need that promote your hair growth I think its Biotin. If you talk to your doctor or pharmicist they should be able to tell you. I would also just go and talk to your doctor about it. We all loose hair naturally and about 80-150 strands of hair if you think it's more then it is a problem. It could also be alopecia or a type of it....it may be something you are doing like having your hair tied back tight or using to many chemicals or sprays on your hair. Coloring shouldn't be a problem but too much of everything could be. Here's another thing that it could be----yearly shedding. Many people experiance seasonal shedding and it's normal...it just falls of and new hair soon replaces it. The best solution is to go to your doctor and tell him....HE SHOULD do tests to find out what is wrong and help you find a solution....try different doctors if you must because some will dismiss it...even natural doctors..because sometimes they listen to you more and find natural things that fix it such as a change in diet or release of negative energy or stress. STress can ALSO cause hair loss. It's a lot of things that can be wrong ...I hope you find what is and that you find a solution to your problem. Good luck.pout

Is having my baby the cause of losing my hair?
I've always had medium to long hair. But about 3 months after I had my baby my hair started coming out a lot. I thought it was just because it got so long (the longest I've ever had it) and heavy. So I cut it above my shoulders. Still have the same problem. My mom said she lost hair after she had us kids. Does this happen to every one? When will it stop? Is having a baby the cause of my hair loss?Is having my baby the cause of losing my hair?
It happened to me too! My hair was thick before now it's just normal thickness. I think it happens to a lot of women. It has to do with your postpartum hormones. It tends to get better sometime around 6 months I hear. Here is a good link on it:
http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mom/鈥?/a>
I'm almost 7 months postpartum now.. and it started to improve at about 6.5 months for me. I think I started losing it around 3 months.
EDIT: I don't know if you are or not.. but taking your prenatals postpartum does help with this.. as it can be linked to anemia as well.Is having my baby the cause of losing my hair?
When you're pregnant, your body sheds less. You lose less hair, because your body retains it. After pregnancy, the retained hair falls out - sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few months when hormone levels have stabilized. So, although you may think you're going to go bald, don't worry...the hair that's falling out is hair you would have normally lost at an earlier date if you hadn't been pregnant. You may have noticed how thick and healthy your hair felt during pregnancy...because less of your hair was falling out during that time.
The same thing happenend to me, at around the same time. It was really alarming...I would blow dry in the morning and be left holding a clump of my own hair. It lasted for about 4 weeks, and then stopped altogether. I was so glad when it was over. My hair isn't any thicker or thinner now than it was before I had my daughter.
Best of luck!
Yes blame it on the hormones. when you have a baby inside of you, your hair is on a constant growth spurt. Then when the extra hormones are gone, the hair makes up for it by shedding the hair extra fast. It stinks I am still loosing hair and he is 9 months old. This is normal. I have had 4 kids, and it does get better.
It's been almost a year and I'm still loosing some hair. I've got spots in my temples where I have stubble and then some spots where I have 6 inches of hair. My pre-baby hair (that stuff that stayed!) is nearly to my bra strap. ARGH! My hair will be normal by the time I want my second one. Moms never win.
i lost alot of hair after my daughter, i dont know exactly why it happens but i have heard its pretty common, most people i know said they had the same thing happen. im sure it has to do with your hormones adjusting after pregnancy.
Yes, my hair started falling out alot around 3 months post partum as well. I believe it is because while you are pregnant, hardly any hair falls out.
Yes. It is called Postpartum Alopecia.
be happy because my hair got think and never returned to normal

Losing my hair from both the sides of my head and I Am only 17,what should I do ?
I used to apply a lot of hair gel to my hair since the age of 13.Then I started losing hair when I was 16. Now I Am 17 and lost a lot of hair, what should I do ?Losing my hair from both the sides of my head and I Am only 17,what should I do ?
First you need to determine what is the cause of the hair loss.
Is it because of the products you have used - and thus should be a temporary situation ?
Or is genetic ? What are the hair patterns for the other people / men in your family ?
If it is not genetic - then most likely, giving your hair a rest - eating well - healthy, drinking plenty of water - taking a multivitamin - and time will restore your hair.
If it is genetic - then you have options of keeping your hair very short - or shaved completely .
Many men look very handsome and sexy with a shaved head. ( Vin Diesel for one ).
Also, you can consult hair restoration specialists.
Certain men - depending on the specific type of baldness they have ( not all are the same ) are candidates for hair transplants or medicines.
But you may want to check out the Shaved head style -
or very short buzz cuts - those styles can look very manly.Losing my hair from both the sides of my head and I Am only 17,what should I do ?
There may be a lot of reasons why.
But first thing to do is to stop using the hair gel , and see if this would stop your hairloss.
Second, go on http://www.hair2centre.com
They have a natural liquid , that you put on the both sides of your head, you rub it onto the area, and this will stop hair loss as well as grow back hair.
I use this product, and I can recommend it to you.
go and c ur doctor
Oh no, go and see a hair specialist and they will give you advice on the matter.... However if you are very self conscious about it then opt for a hair transplant, they don't look fake like wigs or anything.
Well good luck with it.

How can I stop losing my hair?
I'm 22, has a family history of losing hair, forehead is getting bigger.
Any tips that stop losing hair? How can I stop losing my hair?
Unfortunately, if the males in your family are losing hair, it's mostly likely that the same will happen to you...but there are some things you can do! Take Saw Palmetto capsules, and drink Green Tea. Even start using Rogaine or Fabao...it could help slow it down. Good luck..How can I stop losing my hair?
Short of a Genie in a bottle... not much.
i know, buy an alpaca!
keep it clean and don't comb or brush.
Control your stress levels.
I have 3 brothers. One has lost alot of hair over the years because of stress.
I also have a sister who has lost hair because of stress.
Write down exactly where you left it
Maybe you can prevent it with special shampoo.
If not, shave your head so people won't notice you're going bald.
Seriously.
Good luck.
this is hilarious, ya bald man.

How to keep fom losing my hair?
For the past few days my hair has been falling out in big clumps when I take a shower. My brush is full of them and my hair is limp and lifeless. I know this happens to people that just recently gave birth but my baby is five months old. Is it related. How can I keep it from falling out or how can I put some volume back into it?How to keep fom losing my hair?
Have your dr. look into pcos. Its a main factor in losing hair. I was diagnosed just recently but had it after getting pregnant for the first time. Have your dr look into it. But just basic losing hair, It will stop soon. It might just be common shedding of hair and will stop shortly. Just brush your hair a lot and wait it out.

Why am i losing my hair at my current age?
I am an 18 year old male who has been losing my hair on my head for the past 4 years and i don't know why, my diet is normal i get enough sleep and i am not stressed. the hair on the top is thinning out more and more. can you help me in figuring out what is causing this? thank you.Why am i losing my hair at my current age?
Genetics. Unless you're sick, check the doctor. Why am i losing my hair at my current age?
If that's you only symptom, and I'm guessing it is or else you would've mentioned others, you're losing hair because your genes have dictated it. Yes, it is unusual to begin losing hair at such a young age, but not unheard of.
genetic.
i'm the opposite .. all the nutrient my body absorb goes to my hair
when your scalp is tight, it causes the blood vessels to not to to the growing hair in your head.
Are there any other guys in your family that have early hair loss?if so it may be genetics.or maybe bad hair products.idk go to the doctor or somthing
I startred losing my hair up front at 18.
It's called male pattern baldness.
If either one of your grandpa's had it look out! You'll alomst certainly get it to!
Do what I do. I take the prescription ';propecia';. (Got to see a skin doctor, first, to be ';diagnosed'; to get the prescription)
Propecia regrows hair lost up top and in the back while it stops hair loss in the front, but it does not regrow it. F------- sucks I know.
It takes sixth or more months before it staRTS to work so the sooner you get started the better.
Stress, genetics, or chemicals.pout

How do I keep from losing my hair?
I had gastric bypass surgery about 4 months ago. I knew that losing my hair would be a possibility, but how can I prevent this as much as possible. I take all the vitamins that I'm supposed to and my protein levels have been excellent. Anything else I can try?How do I keep from losing my hair?
Colon cleansing is the latest method to shed weight. Scientists have highlighted the point that not all additional weight is thanks to excess fat, a lot of weight simply sits there in your colon, and all you need to do is clean it out. http://bopult.wholenesspro.info has a risk free trial on right now, give it a try, you could shed up to 20 pounds! How do I keep from losing my hair?
Honestly there is not a lot to do to prevent hair loss after gastric bypass. A gastric bypass is a procedure that has purposely places your body in a permanent state of mal nourishment. Your body either has or will reach a level of mal nourishment and it will choose not to nourish all of your follicles. When it quits nourishing some of your follicles, those hair strands will fall out. Eventually when you reach your goal weight you will need to find a way to begin to nourish your body again. Your B12 shots and your iron supplements are very important to your health, as is the calcium. I'm seven years past RNY bypass I have lost and maintained 161 pounds.
Herbal remedies along with good nutritional diet (supplements in case of severe deficiency or if directed by your doctor) help hair grow stronger and more plentifully by nourishing it at the roots after such surgeries. They achieve this by stimulating blood flow and supplying nutrients to the hair follicles and hence promoting healthy hair growth and slowing down excessive hair loss. Although the process begins within a few days, as the hair grow slowly, the results are visible only after a few months.
Herbs commonly used include Ginkgo biloba, Rosmarinus officinale and Xanthoxylum clavaherculis help to promote strong, abundant hair. Other powerful herbs such as Equisetum arvense, Avena sativa and Echinacea are effective combating hair loss and nourishing hair follicles.

Honestly there is not a lot to do to prevent hair loss after gastric bypass. A gastric bypass is a procedure that has purposely places your body in a permanent state of mal nourishment. How do i keep from losing my hair?
I feel like I will be bald before I'm 25 and i'm only 21.I would lose lots of hair before I had a baby but now,it is scary. Please help.Has this happened to anyone and is there a real solution? How do i keep from losing my hair?
Propecia (or the generic equivalent) is the *only* thing on the market that blocks the hormone that prevents you from losing hair. You probably wont regrow much of what you have lost, but you can salvage what you have. No I do not work for Propecia :D
In a situation like this, you should get to the doctor ASAP. It's a pain in the neck, but it beats the alternative. Ive been losing some hair for a while, and I felt the same way as you.. but honestly there is nothing you can do without real medication. Right now I am using a combo of generic propecia (finasteride) and generic Rogaine. I have seen some improvement.
By the way, your pretty young to be losing hair. Another reason you could be losing hair is stress. If you have been under a great deal of stress lately, this might also cause hair to fall out. But unlike male pattern baldness, hair loss due to stress is reversible. Talk to your doctor, soon. How do i keep from losing my hair?
keep it in a safe place.
Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

How can I keep from losing my hair?
I have noticed my hair getting thinner near my hair line. I am not on prescription meds. I don't drink or smoke. I wash and condition my hair all the time and use hair lotions (I am black) to replenish moisture lost during shampooing, but my hair is still shedding badly. I am 34 and ashamed. My husband is not even aware of my hair loss problem. If anyone have a solution for my problem please let me know. Alot of people mistake me for being around 24, but if I continue to lose hair, they will assume I am 74!How can I keep from losing my hair?
you can never over condition your hair, that's like saying ' I'm using to much lotion for my body.'; Black hair needs moisture,so that's not the case. Did you just recently have a baby, or are you stressing over anything that's causing you to lose your hair? What about birth control? Are you using relaxers often? Anyone of things can determine why you're losing your hair.Well, you can try Nioxin, it helps with thinning and its guaranteed to work. They have different formulas for your hair type. It comes with shampoo, conditioner, and a treatment.Good luck. How can I keep from losing my hair?
Hi, there are a lot of reasons for hair loss in women. Most of these conditions are related to an underlying condition like stress, thyroid problems and also post pregnancy stress. Other issues that might be causing your hair loss is hormonal imbalances like menopause, but at your age it's highly unlikely.
As your hair and skin's quality generally indicate your overall health, you might want to go to your doctor to diagnose the problem and get a blood test.
My hair is doing that.
Only thing is I'm 17.
The doctors said it was because i lacked iron..so maybe that is your problem? But go have your thyroids tested, to make sure they are normal.
Also if you are perming or relaxing your hair make sure to protect your edges with Vaseline to keep from burning your scalp. That could cause it also if its just around the edges.
maybe you are conditioning too often. if you condition to often your hair starts getting very thin and frail
maybe your pregnant I know lots of women go threw hair loss when there pregnant. I know my whole neigbor hood did!!

How can I stop myself from losing my hair?
For the last three weeks i've been losing a lot of hair. My natural hair is curly and it has been looking very thin. When I shower, after I brush my hair I see clumps and clumps of my blonde hair on the brush. Two weeks ago I straightened my hair to find a lot of hair on the floor. I don't know what to do, i'm scared that I will end up bald. Does anyone have any tips? Please. How can I stop myself from losing my hair?
It might be related to stress, are you worried about something? If you are really stressed out you need to relax! Being stressed will cause a lot of hair loss. Also I think it might be a thyroid problem, you should go see a doc to get blood tests done to see if its your thyroid. If you have thyroid disease it will cause clumps of hair to fall out. Other than that, maybe you need a trim? Hope I helped. How can I stop myself from losing my hair?
Try taking some calcium supplements.
If you straightened your hair chemically two weeks ago, the loss of hair could be caused by the process.
Seriously, I wouldn't fool around with other products. I would seek the help of a professional salon. If they can't help you, please see a Dermatologist.
Loosing hair after a shower is natural and about 50 to 100 hair may go. but if exceeds this and if regular , then you have to worry. You have to keep the hair clean, wash them regularly and comb and if possible and have some pure coconut oil or any other grooming thing and keep it nourished. Smoking, drinking or taking artificial foods will damage the hair. Have more vegetables, fish and fruits. See to it that you do not have dandruff, which was the reason for my baldness. Using a cap / hat can also cause baldness.

Losing my Hair!?
have two girls....my youngest is 4 mths old. After each baby my hair just seems to fall out by the hand fulls! Daily! My hair is thin anyway but now it is super thin and it is so depressing. Anyone go thru this? Can you offer any helpful solutions?Losing my Hair!?
its what happens after you give birth. your hormones while pregnant cause normal shedding to not occur, so when your hormones begin to fluctuate back to normal all that hair falls out! i know its awful...i have a 5 month old and i finally cut my long long hair off a month ago because shower time was scaring me (i was losing handfuls of hair)! there's not much you can do...just another thing that we all have to live through!Losing my Hair!?
It's normal.
We normally lose about 100 hairs a day anyway, but when you're pregnant, the hormones don't let this old dead hair fall out, which is why hair seems thicker during pregnancy. The hair that should have fallen out each day during you pregnancy therefore all comes out in the months following birth.
All you can do is wait it out. You won't go bald, but it's a normal part of the the post-natal period :)
i went through this too. i just keeped on taking my prenatal and it helped out a little, and honestly i stopped brushing my hair. i just used my fingers to run through it after showers and while styling. i know that might sound wierd but it helped too.
good luck
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had the same problem after delivering my son. I talked to my hair dresser about this and she said it was normal. She told me the best thing to do was continue taking prenatal vitamins so when it grew back it would be healthier. I hope this helps.
This is very normal. Nothing you can really do, just make sure you take care of your hair and because your hair is thin you could get a special conditioner for thin hair.
I feel your pain. My hair also seemed to fall out pretty bad during and after my pregnancy for awhile it kept coming out. I have a 6 mo old baby boy. I know that stress may have alot to do with it, so try not to let things really eat at you. I know it easier said than done. It took me a long time to learn to do it too. Keep taking your prenatals (especially if nursing) or your regular vitamins daily. Massage your scalp several times a day and when you wash your hair do it with cool water as both of these are good for the follicles, sometimes our follicles just need rebooting. Go to this website:www.hairenergizer.com it might be a help to read and give you more suggestions. I hope this has helped you.
It's normal to lose hair after giving birth. All your pre-natal vitamins and hormones make your hair grow in nice and thick and then it just falls out. If you really feel it's thinner than before you started having kids, I'd look in to Nioxin Shampoo and hair products. They are supposed to be really good. You could ask your hairdresser.
Mine did the same thing. It is all hormones. It will go back to normal soon.
I am going through this right now [good thing I have thick hair] My son is 3 months old and it is just falling right out. I don't know what to do about it. I have heard it happens because you have a boost of hormones during pregnancy which makes your hair thicker and then after you have your baby, your hair falls out because your hormone levels go down..
This is very common but that bad news is there isn't much you can do about it.
Normally, your hair is in a cycle of growing, resting and shedding. At any given time, you could be losing as many as 200 hairs per day. This is not a problem when you consider that there could be 100,000 or more hairs actively growing.
When you are pregnant, however, estrogen prolongs growth and those 200 hairs you'd be losing are put into the growth phase and very little hair is resting or shedding. This is why so many women who are pregnant have that thick, gorgeous mane.
After giving birth, your estrogen levels start to return to normal and so you start losing hair again. All that ';extra'; hair that was growing goes into the resting phase for a few months and then suddenly you are shedding all those hairs.
You can try taking your prenatal vitamins - it may help a little. Also wash your hair only every other day and try to comb it as little as possible.
The same thing happened to me and it was really bad for about three months. I ended up cutting my hair a little shorter and that seemed to help a little.
Good luck - I hope it gets better soon.
Yeah almost every woman goes through this, but it's pretty bad when you start getting bald spots!! I already have thin hair to begin with also, and after my second pregnancy my bald spots are barely filling in a year after he was born! Sorry, such is life!
I had my baby three months ago, and now my hair is starting to fall out. Is this normal?
Many new moms are surprised to find themselves shedding more hair than usual in the first few months after giving birth, but it's perfectly normal. And there's no need to panic: You won't go bald. In fact, your hair should be back to normal by your baby's first birthday.
Here's what's going on. Normally, about 85 to 95 percent of the hair on your head is growing and the other 5 to 15 percent is in a resting stage. After the resting period, this hair falls out 鈥?often while you're brushing or shampooing it 鈥?and is replaced by new growth. An average woman sheds about 100 hairs a day.
During pregnancy, increased levels of estrogen prolong the growing stage. There are fewer hairs in the resting stage and fewer falling out each day, so you have thicker, more luxuriant tresses.
After you give birth, your estrogen levels take a tumble and a lot more hair follicles enter the resting stage. Soon you'll have more hair coming out in the shower or on the brush. This unusual shedding will taper off and your hair will be back to its pre-pregnancy thickness about six to 12 months after you give birth.
By the way, not all women notice dramatic changes in their hair during pregnancy or the postpartum period. Among those who do, it tends to be more obvious among women with longer hair.
What can I do about it?
You won't be able to stop the hair from falling out, but you can experiment with different hairstyles or products (such as hair thickeners or mousse) to give your hair a fuller look during this transition period.
Many moms, tired of scooping hair out of shower drains or sweeping strands off the bathroom floor, find that now is a good time to go for a short cut. Plus, a short, wash-and-go hairstyle can be easier to take care of when you have a new baby in the house and you're strapped for time.
A note to new moms with long hair: Strands of hair can end up tightly wrapped around your baby's tiny appendages, including his fingers, toes, wrists, ankles, and penis. This is called a hair tourniquet, and it can be quite painful for your little one. If you find him crying for no apparent reason, check carefully for tight bands of hair.
Oh yes, I've had this happen after each baby. It finally stopped about 6-9mnths after each. Annoying but nothing you can do about it. It will pass.
Happened to me also with my 2nd son, my hair is very thin now, was coming out by the handfuls, and my natural hair is very thick. My little one is 18 months. i gave him nothing but breastmilk for 7 months, i am naturally thin was around 125 lbs prepregnancy. I was very sick for the 1st 3 months, and went down to 115lbs in 2 weeks.By my 8th month I was 154lbs, but after delivery, I went down to 110lbs in 3 months.Breastfeeding makes you lose weight fast. I was so hungry all the time the 7 months after my 2nd son's birth. I used to eat a whole loaf of bread w/ peanut butter %26amp; whip cream, at times.that was my craving, but I still stayed 110lbs. My lactation specialist told me this would happen. I am now 112lbs, by choice. My baby is 18 months and is still nursing, he doesn't want to stop, nursing as I'm typing in fact, so I make sure I eat healthy. I continue to take my prenatal vitamins and a hair skin and nails vitamin in addition. The little ones take alot of nutrients from our bodies when nursing. Eat alot of proteins and veggies and continue taking your prenatal vitamins, especially if nursing. losing weight is good, but when you lose weight this way it robs your body of alot of nutrients.

BEST OF LUCK!!!! HOPE I HELPED.Losing my hair...........?
This must be extremely upsetting for you....so many people underestimate the effects of losing hair. There are many reasons why your hair might be falling out. Some of the others that have replied are right - it could be because of diet, stress, a traumatic experience, vitamin deficiency. It could also be due to alopecia. There are varying extremes to alopecia: Alopecia areata is partial hair loss where you will lose clumps/pieces of hair but not all of it. Alopecia Universalis and Totalis are the more extreme conditions where you experience total hair loss. My daughter lost all her body hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and hair at 10 years old and the devastation should not be underestimated. There is no way of knowing what is causing your hair loss without seeing a doctor - ask for a referral to a ';good'; dermatologist. They will be able to help you. Take care and look after yourself.
Are you eating properly? Your diet affects your hair in a major way. Your hair will get thicker, healthier, and resilient to falling out if you include these foods in your diet...
1.) Make some dietary changes. Hair consists of protein (because hair is keretinized protein) so be sure that you are getting enough. Incorporate foods from all food groups, especially protein. Nuts, poultry, vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs, etc. all contribute to hair health. Bacon is a hair superfood because of the B-Complex vitamins and protein.
2.) Consider taking a daily vitamin. Other vitamins and minerals that are believed to contribute to hair growth are: biotin, beta-carotene, biosil, B complexes, magnesium, sulfur, zinc, silica, nettle, and flaxseed oil.
1. Try to find a style you can live with that does not require straightening. Why are we never satisfied with the hair God gave us? Mine is as straight as a stick and I am always trying to curl it! ; -) Give your hair a rest.
2. If you have stress in your life, that can really make your hair fall out. Find ways to relax more and worry less. Get more sleep.
3. Healthy diet. Sometimes taking biotin helps with hair loss. GNC sells vitamins for hair that are really expensive. Read the ingredients on the label and get the same vitamins individually at a inexpensive pharmacy- like Wal-Mart.
It could be allopecia. Two of my kids had it. One completely got over it. The other child still struggles with it. Allopecia has a sort of pattern balding like around the ears. Also eye lashes and eye brows can thin to almost nothing. No cure for this so lets hope it is just the hair treatments you are using. Good luck!
1st you need a blood test a lot of times medical conditions cause hair loss like thyroid, 2nd stop the harsh straightening any hair is better than none 3rd get a bottle of mane and tail shampoo it costs around $9.00 for a bottle dont use it in the bath or you will grow hair in unwanted places. i buy mine at k mart so look around its great stuff.
If this is a medical issue you haven't provided enough info to get diagnosed.
See your doctor, who MAY then refer you to the dermatologist
to get steroid injections into your scalp(if this is alopecia areata).
Your doctor can prescribe hormones to help with this. It may be due to stress or may be hormonal or it may be to do with the straightening iron. Try using natural remedies such as honey and apple cider vinegar. That helped mine get thicker once more
