Im 28 years old and a Mother of 4.My youngest child is 2 and after I had him I tied my tubes. For the past year and a half I have been losing a lot of my hair.I don't now what to do!!I use to have really thick curly hair and now my hair is really thinning out. When I brush hair fills the brush.Ive noticed the white tip at the end of my fallen out hair meaning its breaking off at the root..When I shower I can feel lots of hair sliding off my back. When I check the drainage I pick out a hand full of hair.I wash my hair every other Day and have tried using all types of breakage shampoo.I was told to leave conditioner in longer tried that.I don't use really hot water.Still my hair is shedding.Im worried something is wrong should I be?Why am I losing my Hair And What Should I do about it?
Its Telogen hair effluvium (shedding) - This is basically due to some temporary physiological upset like:
After pregnancy
Side Effects of medication (e.g. anticoagulants, gout medication, antidepressives, contraceptives and excess
Vitamin A)
Rapid weight loss
Emotional upsets
By far the majority of cases of hair loss (with the exception of male pattern baldness) are only temporary and will respond well to treatment. Treatment will usually involve management of the underlying causes by using different ways for treating it, ranging from a change in medication, treating an underlying medical condition and using products to promote hair growth.
There are several treatment options that may help to stimulate and encourage hair growth. If hair loss occurs as a result of an underlying condition or disease, then the condition needs to be treated first. The various types of hair loss are treated with specific medication which includes antibiotics, corticosteroids, or steroid injections. For more serious episodes of hair loss, surgical procedures such as hair transplants, scalp reduction or skin grafts may be performed to replace hair loss.
Natural and holistic therapy offers a gentler alternative for people experiencing hair loss than the harsh effects of conventional medication. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies stimulate and encourage hair growth as well as support blood circulation, hormonal balance and thyroid functioning.
Herbal remedies along with good nutritional diet (supplements in case of severe deficiency or if directed by your doctor) help hair grow stronger and more plentifully by nourishing it at the roots. They achieve this by stimulating blood flow and supplying nutrients to the hair follicles and hence promoting healthy hair growth and slowing down excessive hair loss. Although the process begins within a few days, as the hair grow slowly, the results are visible only after a few months.
Herbs commonly used include Ginkgo biloba, Rosmarinus officinale and Xanthoxylum clavaherculis help to promote strong, abundant hair. Other powerful herbs such as Equisetum arvense, Avena sativa and Echinacea are effective combating hair loss and nourishing hair follicles.

It might be the result of your pregnancies...
It could be hormonal...
It could be a deficiency in your diet...
It could be something bad like a thyroid problem...
It could be Female-Pattern-Baldness...
You can't know unless you go to the doctor.
It might be reversible, it might not be, it might be a symptom of something bigger...
Please go get a check up!
See telogen effluvium at aad.org. Then see your doctor to rule out causes of hair loss. The white at the tip means it is a resting hair, not that it is breaking off. Resting hairs are supposed to fall out, but the thinning suggests you are losing at a higher rate and not replacing it.
