Why am I losing my hair for being a 16 year old male?

For a while now, I've been noticing a lot of my hair coming out during showers or when I comb my hair. My hair is curly and my bangs go down to my nose. My mom thinks it's because of stress, but I'm not stressful about anything right now. I have a large medical history and am on the onset of diabetes. I've tried cholesterol hair restoration cream and that doesn't work. A year ago, I used to straighten my hair but I haven't since. Nobody in my family is bald except for my grandpa. Could it be that I'm pre-diabetic, and if so, is there anyway to treat this? I really don't want to lose my hair, especially at my age.Why am I losing my hair for being a 16 year old male?

If your bald grandfather is your mother's father, chances are you will also be bald because that's the way genetics work.


There are a billion products are procedures out there to try to fix things, but t's not a huge deal. My boyfriend started loosing his hair when he was 18, so he just shaves his head.
There are some medical issues here that could be the answer, some medicines that will do it also. And, of course stress. Talk to you doctor about it if it bothers you that much.
Could be a myriad of things. If very concerned, see your doctor. I understand though - losing hair at 16 could be considered traumatic. I knew a few guys in high school that were losing their hair...but it wasn't the end of the world.





The good thing, you being a guy - that guys can totally ROCK a bald head. I went through chemotherapy two years ago when I was 35/36 years old....and when I lost all of my hair, people were like ';Oh my gosh - you look awesome bald.'; I handled it a lot better than I thought I would..........and didn't look bad.......





What you might do is just buzz your hair down to your scalp. Seriously, I see guys that have buzzed hair or are bald and grow a nice goatee......and they look awesome.......





Dude, you have nothing to worry about. If you lose all your hair, then claim YOUR look and work it!
