Okay, so I'm 20 years old and male. My hair is falling out from all over the top of my scalp, and to a lesser extent the sides and back. My scalp is itchy and dry and I often get lumps on my scalp too. If I don't wash my hair everyday it becomes VERY oily and I cant even comb/brush it because my scalp becomes so sensitive that it hurts to even touch. But when I wash it, it looks healthy and thick and my scalp feels fine... for a few hours at least. I don't understand, and neither does my GP apparently. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I really need help with this. Thanks. Why am I losing my hair?
The scalp itchiness and redness could quite likely be a yeast infection (easily cured by your gp).Why am I losing my hair?
It`s either stress related or you have Alopetia, or maybe your hair is just bored with your life and wants to have a life of it`s own somewhere exciting who knows what a hair thinks,
If there is a hair clinic near you then I would pay them a visit or got to a pharmacy/chemist it sounds like you need a medicated shampoo
may be genetic, it may be you're under a lot of stress
try Rogaine and/or Propecia, either way talk to your doctor first
