When ever I take a shower I lose a pretty significant amount of hair. At least fifty strands. Not all at once though, they come up one by one or in small groups. I don't wash my hair everyday but just getting my hair wet causes some to fall out.
Also, when i hold all of my hair in my hand like a ponytail and slide my hand down, i usually lose a bit of hair. And it doesn't hurt so I know that it wasn't attached to my scalp.
Are there any reasons as to why I'm losing my hair?I'm fifteen, female and losing my hair.?
Everyone loses hair while in the shower or what not. I don't think you should worry, though, because new hair is constantly growing. I once read somewhere that a person loses an average of 70-100 strands of hair everyday. If so much hair is falling out that it begins to worry you, you should probably consult a doctor to see what you can do.
Also, if stress were to cause your hair loss, it'd have to be an amazingly huge amount of stress. The hair would fall out for about a period of 3 months, but then will most likely start growing again in 6 months. In other cases, the hair won't start growing back, but will just set you on a track of long-term hair loss. Keep in mind that there are ways to trigger and stimulate hair growth if needed.I'm fifteen, female and losing my hair.?
It's normal to feel like your losing a lot of hair, at the moment my hair is naturally spiral curled and i put absolutely no heat in my hair and whenever i wash it or run my hands through it hair comes out.
I noticed when i did change my shampoo and conditioner to Aveda this problem drastically decreased.
So take vitamins that provide protein oils for your hair and change your shampoos.
Maybe you a prematurely bald. That occasionally happens to some people. I reccomend that you get a wig if it gets too thin. There is something called Hair Club that is clinically proven to improve female pattern baldness. Look it up on:

Good luck!
it's normal to lose that much, if i were you i wouldn't worry about it.
but if you really think something might be wrong, eat more meat, or take protein pills.
i hope i helped :)
That's EXACTLY what happens to me, and I'm seventeen. It's totally normal.
