I am 19 and whenever I wash my hair in the shower a few hairs come out every time I am massaging the shampoo into my hair. Hair never comes out in any other situation though. I do notice that I can see my scalp in some areas, but I think that's because my hair is really curly when it's long and I don't comb it. I have seen hair on my pillow but only like 3 or 4 hairs.
What should I do to prevent hair loss also? I heard of Rogaine %26amp; some other stuff, but honeslty should a 19 year old have to take this? Or am I just very unlucky?Am I losing my hair?
That happens to me too whenI wash my hair or comb it. I think it`s because new hair is growing out and the old one is falling out. I think you`re too young to be losing hair unless that`s common in your family. I don`t think there is nothing to worry about.Am I losing my hair?
Baldness tends to be inherited from the mother. Check out your mother's brothers and her father. If there is a tendancy towards baldness, you may have inherited the condition. There is no proven cure.
Provillus Hair Loss Treatment is so confident of their products that they offers a 100% satisfaction or money back package. Its ingredients are all natural products.

Hair loss as you describe it is simply NATURAL. I'd be a lot more concerned if there were 15 or 20 hairs - or even more - coming out at one time.

Am I losing my hair?
I hate this I keep am 23 and i am receeding badly (bad)'
how can it be that I have hair in so many places and nothing is comming in on my head?Am I losing my hair?
Take a daily vitamin, that never hurts. See your doctor, could be a vitamin deficiency or a good time to try Rogaine it works best when you first detect thinning. 23 is young for this but not all that unusual. If your uncles on your mothers side are bald or balding that could more than likely be your fate as well. You're in luck though, men with full heads of hair are shaving theirs all off.
.Am I losing my hair?
Rogaine foam.
If you keep your hair short, the foam will work better. Also, less hair will make you look more mature, which may help at your job or with the ladies.
BTW- I'm not talking about head paint dude!! I'm talking about a white foam that absorbs into your scalp(like a lotion). You put it on after you shower in the morning, and then you look as you do now and maintain your hairline.
Need to know the reasons about that , if isn't genetic...
you're just special.
You may want to consider shaving your head.
Good luck with that.
I would shave it. Bald is beautiful you know
take some vitamins or buy that stuff that makes ur hair grow back!

Losing my hair..... to prevent and regrow?
Every time I wash my hair, or comb it.. i lose a LOTTT of hair that its ridiculous..
I am developing bald spot in some places..
What do i do to re grow it?Losing my hair..... to prevent and regrow?
Sounds like alopecia areata (wrong section for this question though).
Go see a dermatologist.
If it's alopecia areata, hair falls out in spots first (as opposed to telogen efluvium where it starts falling out all over at once). Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder, and there's not much they can do but give you prednisone shots (in scalp).
Don't freak out and think it's a thyroid disorder (e.g. Grave's disease) because from what you describe, it doesn't really sound that way. Nor does it sound like heavy metal poisoning. First stop dermatologist.Losing my hair..... to prevent and regrow?
Go to your doctor NOW. It could be a reaction to several things.. possibly to your pregnancy prevention medication or it could be a serious thyroid problem called hypothyroid disease. You can locate information about this online if you visit the May Clinic website. Also, if you are on the pill, I suggest you get out the instructions and READ them. The hormones in the pills can cause severe health problems. The point is, it could be anything and it could be dangerous. GO to the doctor today.

I am losing my hair in handfuls brushing daily.49 years old with normal t-s-h levels...any ideas?
I was going through the same thing and found out I had iron anemia. After a few months on iron replacement therapy, my hair is growing back and has stopped coming out in handfuls. Ask your doctor to test you for iron-deficiency anemia.I am losing my hair in handfuls brushing daily.49 years old with normal t-s-h levels...any ideas?

Twenty and losing my hair... should I fix it?
Hey, all. I'm not 20 years old and I've been receding in the front since I was 17 or so. I've been using Rogaine, which has help it from receding, but nothing has grown back. I don't have a bald spot in the back, I'm just receding in the front. So, I have a few questions. One, for the ladies, would this really hurt a first impression for you? Do you think if a guy could get that Bosley (no product placement intended) hair transplant thing, they should? Also, if you knew someone that was bald and then one day they came in with hair, clearly having received some sort of transplant (not because it looks bad, but because hair just doesn't grow back by itself), would you think less of this person or do you think it's good to do something like that to help one's self-esteem?
Thanks for any answers. Again, if I was older, I'd have no problem with my hairline, but at 20, I think you can all imagine my plight.
*Note: This was cross-posted in the Singles %26amp; Dating board.Twenty and losing my hair... should I fix it?
Okay, Im not 20 anymore but I dated and married my husband very young and he too was losing his hair at a very young age. He chose to do nothing about it. It didn't hurt my first impression of him because when we started dating he treated me with the utmost respect and kindness and I was attracted to HIM! I had dated some jerks so his hair was a minor issue. This actually could be an advantage for you because you will weed out the totally shallow women.
As far as fixing your hair some way if it bothers you a lot, and if the restoration was natural looking I don't think it's a big deal, so that's really up to you. Good luck.Twenty and losing my hair... should I fix it?
whatever your daddy's hairline is like is what yours will probably be. like my dad has thin hair and a receding hair line and my brother does too, he's about your age. his hair is Thick but its receding and i think it looks perfectly okay. sometimes i even cut his hair for him and a trick you can do is let your bangs grow out longer in the front to cover up where its receding. dont' worry about it so much :)
Although the first answer is a nice suggestion ... Please don't do that. That is very similar to what my Dad used to do and we called it ';The CombOver'; --NOT COOL (at any age)!!!!!!
This should not bother anyone (as far as first impressions go). I personally think it's sexy! If someone is that shallow do you really want to be with them anyway?!
and ................
Maybe it will only receed a little bit and not go to far or make you completely bald --not like that would be bad or anything.
I know that you are not yet 20 and this is a very important time in your life but take it from me.... a 30 something female.... I was not and am not bothered by that type of thing (not now and not when I was 20) so try to feel good about yourself and your confidence will be what people notice -- not the hairline!!

So now that im losing my hair... should i kiss sex goodbye.. ?
or any form of relationship with a loving female?
or should i just give up now...So now that im losing my hair... should i kiss sex goodbye.. ?
No way! If a loving female is what you are looking for, she won't give two shits about your hair.
Some women find bald men sexy. My dad shaved his head when he started losing hair after mom died. He is now happily married to an attractive 25 year old girl. He is not rich and he has kidney failure, but a lot of women find him attractive because he is a good man, and not bad looking.
Ten points please.
You know I deserve it.So now that im losing my hair... should i kiss sex goodbye.. ?
I dont think that there is any relationship between loosing ur hair and sex at all.Normally its said that the bald guys are more rich and sexy and i have seen this with my own eyes and i am one of them.So forget about this kissing good bye to sex .Till u feel like that keep it up
shave head bald is beautiful and sexy. and then it looks like you wanted it that way too what looks bad is the bozo hair by the ears and back only or the ridicuous comb overs . good luck
Depends, some men look good bald. Some - not so much.
Frankly, you should have planned ahead and gotten your hooks into a good woman while you still had hair....good luck to you.
bald is beautiful! lol my dad is my hero and hes a baldie, if my husband went bald i would still love him the same. so i dont think so at all
You are a latent homosexual and your hair is your lame excuse... Otherwise you are an idiot...
I dont mean to hurt you...
I usually hurt women...
It depends entirely on where you're losing it.
dont be silly... hair isnt everything :P x
What sort of sex are you having that involves you using your hair?
Shave it off. My dad does that and it looks better.
bald people also do sex. =)
well everything good in ur life has an end,
better look for a pension house
losing hair has no impact on sex. your own exoeriebnce will show.
Shave your head, looks better than a balding look
no some girls like guys with no or little hair. . .
WTF? Just shave it off. Grass doesn't grow on a busy street mate.
Yes indeed Dude Give up if that's what you really want...And we both know that is not true.....
Up to you.
shave all your hair off- oddly enough women seem to like this
nah! shave off all ya hair, sexy bald guy :)
Why would you even think of that?
of course not

I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?
so yeah, every time i get out of the shower there is so much hair that i've lost that it covers the drain. i could make a little doll out of all the hair i lose in one day... why am i loosing it and how can i stop it?I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?
My hair does the same, but it's because i wear my hair in a ponytail alot (and that will do it).I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?
Because you are 19, and that is just normal. Guys start losing their hair when they are in their teens, and it continues well into the 20s. That's just a guy thing. Usually, it doesn't get noticeably thinner until mid-20s, and may actually be bald in parts as you get older. That's genes, and you can't really stop them now.
We normally lose about 80-100 hairs a day. These will start to grow back in about 2 months. However, as you get past puberty, some of these just go dormant, and some will die. That hair will never come back, no matter what you do. Some of those that are sleeping can be encouraged to come back, but it takes a lot of work.
Keep your scalp clean and you should be okay. Some shampoos and conditioners just make things worse. Check your mother's family ancestors to see if they have hair. Just enjoy what you have. Some women actually think bald men are sexy!
That happens with me. But it doesn't make any bald spots in my head. Sometimes when you brush your hair, it can pull some hair out and it's normal for some hair to just brake off. If you have thick hair, more hair breaks of and gets lost when you take a shower and wash it out it all gathers together and looks like a lot is falling out. But I'm sure you're okay... unless you notice bald spots.
Im like that as well, it may be natural, if u r worried, get it checked out.
Indians or pakistanis have this thing called ';Pat-Kurry'; it stops hairs from falling offm go to a indian or pakistani store and aske them.
Also oil your hair with Olive oil and almond oil, at different times of course, its great for your hair in many ways, it also adds this softness to your hair and more.
omg i have the same problems! i could just run my fingers through it, dry or wet, and i pull out at least 20 strands each time!
I worked with a med student this past summer and she told me it could by hypothyroidism. this is a disease that makes it difficult to lose weight [which is hard for me] and one of the symptoms is the hair pulling out. I dont feel it, and it happens more when its wet. at first i thought it was because i have naturally curly hair and i straighten it every now and then, but it still happens when i dont straighten it for months. lol do some research on hypothyroidism if its difficult for you to lose weight and you have any other symptoms you may find. if so, you should contact a physician. I plan on doing the same once my health insurance comes through! haha
Best of luck!
Your body actually loses about 100-150 hairs a day. I don't really know how to stop it, but i do know that it's normal to be losing some hair on a daily basis
Stress. 19 is a hard age..probably worrying about your future. When over stressed your body will react in many ways..losing hair is one of the prime things that will happen to you. HUGS!!
Fear not young'en.... My grandfather started losing his hair when he was your age... He's still alive.
