if this helps: i have shoulder length, very curly hair and i blow dry and flat iron it about once a week. i havent had it cut since july :/...i also have dandruff
should i just get it trimmed? or go see a doctor?? help please this is really scaring me

I had the same problem and still have it a bit now.
Best thing to do is take Multi-vitamin tablets as this helps your hair,bones and nails as well as everything else.
Cut down on straightning and deep conditon it and put some hot-oil onto it.
Get it trimmed definatly! You may want to chop an inch off! So it feels a lot better!
Drink plently of water!
Let it air dry once in a while
Eat well!

you need to STOP flat ironing your hair and blow drying your hair you damage ur hair and it starts to fall off trust me i know my mom was a salonist and you need to wash your hair every dayy head and shoulders will workk and advance technique wait but one that will really workk is its called organix nourishing coconut milk shampoo and dont put no grease on your hair and like i said Stop using the iron and the blow dryer thats whats causing it to fall let your curls be show off your true beauty.....
relax it always happens with long hair, i used to have long hair now its short, when i had long hair, i loosed many many hairs either, i was sleeping actually in it, but when i cut it off with i didn't in 2 years it was all done, just cut off like 2cm or 3cm off your hair every 4 a 5 month and you will have less hair fall, also, if you want to avoid it completely use a anti hair loss shampoo.
if u are under a lot of stress, then it can cause hairloss. this happened to me in highschool, but i had bald spots. if u notice a lot of thinning, and u think u might be undr too much stress, try a multi vitamin called 'stress tabs'. they don't reduce stress but they reduce the effect stress can have on your body. ie hairloss, skin rash. good luck.
maybe its your pillow case, lol.. silk or soft kind like that tends to pull it out in your sleep..also dont wear your hairbow too tight.. wear it loose.
try getting a different type of shampoo, i.e/ aussie extra strength

There could be a few causes of your hair loss, one of the first causes that I thought of could be malnutrition, possibly from anorexia or bulimia. You could also have a scalp follicle infection although this is less common.
i would definitaly go see a doctor!!!!!!!!! do you have a lot of stress? if you do than that might be why because that happened to a girl i know! but you go see a doctor soon!
buy vitamins that make hair healthier, you can get them from shoppers. use salon products, you can get nice ones from winners for cheap. try not useing irons on your hair for a while either.
If you iron your hair alot it can burn ur hair and it will start falling out, stop ironing ur hair for a while and condition it alot... tell ur mother btw. She can help
i have long hair too and this has kinda happened to me unless it gets really bad just wait it out get a trim about two inches or so and see if that helps
