I am losing my hair and I am only 19 years old! What is happening?

I have a receding hairline and I am still a teenager. All the men on my mother's side of the family are bald but everyone on my dad's side has hair. I am not hung up on looks but I at least want to be in my late twenties before I start going bald! I want to take the medicine propecia to stop hair loss but my insurance won't cover it and I am a poor college student. What can I do? I want to be an actor and I know that their are plenty of bald actors out there but the are all at least 30! This is really scary! What can I do?I am losing my hair and I am only 19 years old! If you can use medicine to stop it from falling, go for it. But if not, just shave it off. Get used to being bald. A lot of girls (including this one) love bald guys. And bald looks better than balding.I am losing my hair and I am only 19 years old! What is happening?
grow your hair as long as you can then cut it all off and find a custom wig maker, and then use you real hair as a wig, and as an actor people will think it was for a role, and you cant have your head tattooed to look like your just shaving really close, and that way people think your shaving you head for a part. this actually may cost a lot of money, but less than plugs or transplants
you can always shave your head then it wont be too noticeable or work extra hours and save to go to the doc
i would look at it as a health issue, it could be your thyroid, hormonal imbalances........
