Losing my hair at a steady rate, nails thinning, extreme chronic dry mouth- 6 months after gal bladder removal?

I have been losing my hair for about 5 months at a pretty steady, but elevated rate- probably losing about ten times more per day than before the surgery. My nails have thinned to the point that filing them will make them bleed. My toe nails, in specific, are actually starting to peel away from the skin without any blood or anything. They are about half the length that they used to be, and split right down the middle. Just recently I started experiencing extreme dry mouth. It is so bad that withing minutes of drinking water (to wet my mouth) my tounge feels like concrete (doesn't make my breath smell to good either). I know I drink enough water. I have lost about 15 lbs since the surgery. I am not on any supplements, and most medications are rejected my stomach; such cases i am dry heaving for a long time (very painful). I also just recently developed a gray spot in my vision. Someone said the hole in my vision and dry mouth can be related to a possible stroke. I am 23 years old, 5'9';, and about 145 lbs. I eat normal everyday stuff, and exercise about 3 times a week. My doctor is not helping me, and won't refer me to anyone else. I hate to offload this onto others, but I am truly at a desperate point where any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help:)Losing my hair at a steady rate, nails thinning, extreme chronic dry mouth- 6 months after gal bladder removal?
I wish I could help you. But it irritates me how doctors these days are skirting responsibilities! I'd try to find a specialist who could help, because the earlier you find out what's going on, the better off you'll be. Hopefully, you live in a big city, or close enough to one, to find a competent doctor to help you.

Good luck.Losing my hair at a steady rate, nails thinning, extreme chronic dry mouth- 6 months after gal bladder removal?
It doesn't sound like it's related in anyway to your gallbladder removal. You need to fire your doctor ASAP and get another doctor. It could be the the side effects from the medication your on. You might try looking into that. Good Luck!
