Why am losing my hair and will it grow back?

I am a 25 yr old healthy female. About 4 mos ago, I started noticing my hair was thinning a little. I didn't really bother me b/c even though I have fine hair, I had a lot of it. About 2 mos ago, I noticed it seemed to thin more rapidly, especially in the past 4 wks. I've been on ortho-sprintec for years, good about taking it for a while, then forgetting a day here and there. Around December until about 2 months ago, I was really bad about remembering- I think I even skipped like 2 wks in April b/c I had to just restart when it was refilled (I know, bad). It is so thin, especially at the top front of my head, if you lift the front part of my hair up you can see right through it. I have also had cystic acne starting at 20, but b.c helps when it is taken. It goes away when I DO take it daily for a while. Dad is bald on the top, mom just has fine hair. My gyno ref. me to a derm. and gave me Yaz, but can't get in till July. Any suggestions for peace of mine till then? Will it grow back? Why am losing my hair and will it grow back?
i would suggest looking up information on alopecia totalis. its a condition where your hair falls out, sometimes the entire head of hair. sometimes it grows back and sometimes not. i have it myself, and have had all my hair fall out 3 times, and thankfully it has all grown back. but i would suggest searching the internet, because thats what it sounds like to me. otherwise, maybe its a vitamin deficiency, which can also do the same sort of thing. best of luck to youWhy am losing my hair and will it grow back?
Get that checked out by a dermatologist!!! Usually they can fix it, you could also go to an endocrinologist. If you can't get in till July you could go to one derm and then go to the other Dr in July for a second opinion. There's almost always a remedy for this though.
It may be just because of lack of water, happiness, excersise, whatever. Hopwever, you said your healthy, so this is weird. You should drink a min of 6 8 oz glasses of water a day......that may help........ it may be the heat......i doubt it, but you may be ';shedding';........ are you stressed? worried? unhappy? this may cause hair loss.......perhaps its a combination of meds or chemicals / vitamins in you......... i would talk to multiple doctors.....this is bizzare!
Massaging makes a lot of difference to the rate at which hair grows, so a regular massage with any oil of your choice is recommended to speed up the process. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c for more details.
Maybe u have to much stress
im a 14 yearold male that works out, i lose alot of hair but i thnk its stresss :)
See a primary care doctor. There are a lot of things that can cause this problem, including thyroid issues. When is the last time you had your thyroid checked? Any changes is weight? Weight changes with hair loss can point to thryoid. Have you had any lab work to done to check your hormone levels? If it has been awhile since you have had a complete work up, get to a primary care doctor. Start there before specialist hopping - it will save time and money. No matter what the cause, there are medical remedies out there.
