Why am I losing my hair if my mother's father, my father's father, or my father were never bald?

I have always heard that men typically inherit baldness from their mother's father; however, my mother's father had a full head of hair, as did my father and my father's father. My mother has a high forehead; however, she is not bald, nor is her mother, or my father's mother. I am not adopted, either. So, why would this occur only in me? I do have a first cousin who has basically shaved his head, and I was told that his hair receded prior to his having shaved his head; however, it wasn't quite as profound as my loss of hair.





My hair began falling out when I was around 21 or 22 years old. Now, I'm almost 33, and it is really starting to thin out. I cannot understand why, though, considering that my genetics suggest that I should have a full head of hair throughout my life.





Any possible explanations or suggestions to this hair loss?

Baldness can skip generations before showing up again. See if any of your grandparents have any pictures of their parents or grandparents. If no one in your bloodline is bald then you may have aquired the trait through something in the environment.Why am I losing my hair if my mother's father, my father's father, or my father were never bald?
Well, it doesn't necessarily have to be your grandfathers. The trait of losing hair could run anywhere throughout your family, males OR females. IT could have stayed recessive until this point, and skipped a generation or so.





IE, the trait of twins in my family skips generation. My grandmother had twins but my mother did not. now I am due for twins.





another reason could be stress, bad eating habits, poor health, not enough sleep..etc.





if none of those fit you, and you still are convinced it has something to do with genes, and you think my analogies are incorrect...maybe your mom sleep with the milk man?

Well I'm only 14 but my science teacher is bald and he said that it wasn't genetics because his parents and their parents went bald he said it just happens and he said rogain is like the only thing that works i don't know y he wanted to be balled though
