Pregnant and losing my hair.anyone with the same problem?

Usually, your hair gets thicker and longer during pregnancy due to all the extra good stuf fhappening in you blood stream and the fact that you are taking prenatal vitamins. If you are LOOSING your hair, I would definatily tell you to as you OB to check your thyroid levels. Hair falling out is a sign of hypothyroidism and it is usually during pregnancy that the woman finds out she has it! That is what happend to me! I was feeling awful all the time, tired, out of breath, my hair was falling out alot, I was miserable! I though it was all just because I was pregnant, but my OB said I was Hypothyroid! It's a really common thing, you get medicine for it and it improves, but it never goes away. I will list some sites about it for you to look at, but definatly mention this and hypothyroidism to your OB at your next visit!! Goos luck!Pregnant and losing my hair.anyone with the same problem?
I had the same problem. Mine just started to not fall out in large clumps when I take a shower. I'm 23 weeks. I think mine was from clomid but I've also read that it is a possible affect of pregnancy. I'd call your doc just to make sure.Pregnant and losing my hair.anyone with the same problem?

My cousin has the exact same problem. She went to the doctor, and he said it was nothing to worry about. Sometimes it just happens. Don't worry, it's okay. :)

Everytime I take a shower I have to clean the drain twice! I shed like crazy! Don't worry, it's not just you!
