I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?

so yeah, every time i get out of the shower there is so much hair that i've lost that it covers the drain. i could make a little doll out of all the hair i lose in one day... why am i loosing it and how can i stop it?I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?
My hair does the same, but it's because i wear my hair in a ponytail alot (and that will do it).I'm 19 and i'm losing my hair?
Because you are 19, and that is just normal. Guys start losing their hair when they are in their teens, and it continues well into the 20s. That's just a guy thing. Usually, it doesn't get noticeably thinner until mid-20s, and may actually be bald in parts as you get older. That's genes, and you can't really stop them now.

We normally lose about 80-100 hairs a day. These will start to grow back in about 2 months. However, as you get past puberty, some of these just go dormant, and some will die. That hair will never come back, no matter what you do. Some of those that are sleeping can be encouraged to come back, but it takes a lot of work.

Keep your scalp clean and you should be okay. Some shampoos and conditioners just make things worse. Check your mother's family ancestors to see if they have hair. Just enjoy what you have. Some women actually think bald men are sexy!
That happens with me. But it doesn't make any bald spots in my head. Sometimes when you brush your hair, it can pull some hair out and it's normal for some hair to just brake off. If you have thick hair, more hair breaks of and gets lost when you take a shower and wash it out it all gathers together and looks like a lot is falling out. But I'm sure you're okay... unless you notice bald spots.
Im like that as well, it may be natural, if u r worried, get it checked out.

Indians or pakistanis have this thing called ';Pat-Kurry'; it stops hairs from falling offm go to a indian or pakistani store and aske them.

Also oil your hair with Olive oil and almond oil, at different times of course, its great for your hair in many ways, it also adds this softness to your hair and more.
omg i have the same problems! i could just run my fingers through it, dry or wet, and i pull out at least 20 strands each time!

I worked with a med student this past summer and she told me it could by hypothyroidism. this is a disease that makes it difficult to lose weight [which is hard for me] and one of the symptoms is the hair pulling out. I dont feel it, and it happens more when its wet. at first i thought it was because i have naturally curly hair and i straighten it every now and then, but it still happens when i dont straighten it for months. lol do some research on hypothyroidism if its difficult for you to lose weight and you have any other symptoms you may find. if so, you should contact a physician. I plan on doing the same once my health insurance comes through! haha

Best of luck!
Your body actually loses about 100-150 hairs a day. I don't really know how to stop it, but i do know that it's normal to be losing some hair on a daily basis
Stress. 19 is a hard age..probably worrying about your future. When over stressed your body will react in many ways..losing hair is one of the prime things that will happen to you. HUGS!!
Fear not young'en.... My grandfather started losing his hair when he was your age... He's still alive.
