There is no cure for alopecia (I should know...). The cause is that the body is getting allergic to the hair on your head (sometimes also eyebrows, eyelashes etc). It's a problem with the immune system, just like all other allergies.
The only medicine / treatment that really works is to start taking oral cortison which supresses the immune system. Unfortunately it has some really nasty side effects. Basically the cure is worse than the illness.
There is a small chance that a complete change of lifestyle to healthy, organic, stress free life could help - but no guarantee.
Anything else is a HOAX or a misguided mistake.
When I first got alopecia my parents had me try everything: Acupuncture, Chinese medicine, laser treatment and plenty of other crazy things that are best forgotten. Nothing works.
As an adult I tried cortisol. It works (got my hair back) but the price was too high (check cortisone side effects, it's nasty).
