Am I losing my hair?? 14 years old?

Well the other day I washed my hair and like 10 hairs came out...today in the shower, like, 15 + hairs came out when I was shampooing and conditioning my hair. I've been worrying about this since february, it hasn't looked thinner from then, but I'm worried.

Sometimes when I wash it, not many come out, but other times, more hair comes out. But I've always found that more hair comes out during my period, like, around that time. Why is this??#

All the hairs that come out in the shower are usually full length, shed hairs.

I get hairs on the back of my clothes, but so do all of my friends. But I'm kinda worried about that much hair coming out in the shower.

My hair is long black layered. Pretty long, the longest layer is waist length.Am I losing my hair?? 14 years old?
Mine does this and am 16. Have you dyed your hair recently? That can cause it to fall out more.

Also, if you use straighteners, the hair is probably breaking away and falling out.

When you wash your hair, wash it with really cold water, less hair will fall out cause it tenses up the roots. And try use heat protection spray when you use heat on it.Am I losing my hair?? 14 years old?
My cousin had the same problem when she was 14 and was really worried. She went to the doctors, who told her it wasn't unusual and to lay off chemicals and additional products like hair spay. Seriously, don't worry, because it will only make it worse from the stress. You should also give your hair a cold rinse when in the shower. This removes any chemicals and should be done before using shampoo and conditioner etc.
Okay this might not help at all BUT my sister had the same problem and it started happening right after she lost a lot of weight. Sometimes lack of nutrients can prevent your hair from being healthy, if it continues you can get women vitamins (over the counter and drugstores) that should help.
Are you on alot of stress recently. I dont think it is because you are on your period. Im not saying you have cancer but i would go see your doctor or your G.P. It may be nothing but the average human loses 100 hairs a day. But go see your G.P if your worried x
im a young guy and it happens to me, its just normal. you shed hair all the time but it just grows back. mine has always done it, i arent going bald or anything, in fact i have a very thick head of hair. its the same with skin, it falls offand your body makes more.
hmm i dont think its because your period. do you straighten your hair or get stresed a lot? this might be why you are losing hair. and if your not because of these reasons then you should go see a doctor
Hey, I'm 14 years old just like you and I constantly worry about my hair shedding. The thing is, we're all different but you seem to be shedding fine. Since you also have really long hair, you lose more hair than short hair. It's perfectly natural. I get hairs on the back of my clothes as well and during my period I do lose a little bit more hair. I wouldn't worry at all since our bodies are raging with hormones and we're just growing up. The only time you'll have to worry is if you notice a bald patch on the side of your head.

EDIT An average human can lose up to 100 hairs a day. Sometimes even more since it varies from human to human.
